Bless my wonderful employer I have my iPad with me in the hospital. This how I am on line. Tried to get on my blog at least to leave a message that I am out for sometime. Guess what? My spam protection software called Bad behaviour refuses to let me in saying that spammers have used this IP address.
Make you wonder what kind of things go on in hospitals! And let's face it, I am very possibly the easiest case on the ward. Fancy spamming after triple bypass?

I am getting out! Very, very pleased. Hospitals are no good. Out in an hour, going home. Hubby worried about the stairs - 80 of those. I think that 80 steps can't be a problem.
A very pleased

Excellent news! Tho like Mr FW, I'm a little concerned by 80 steps! Still, one at a time if necessary
stairs are a lot more stressful than walking.

No steps are high enough to stop me! I am back home and it is lovely - the hospital was much less noisy but I like this noise. DS3 is pleased to see me; the whole house has livened up - my sister is relieved. She is much older than me and has always looked after me (and looked out for me). Took me a long time to realise this - I think Gilli said something like that (took you a long time to realise that your sister is your best friend). OH is whistling again which is always a good sign.
Less regimented life though - by this time they had given me lunch in the hospital. Here we are all sitting down and talking.

Ok, a decision has been made. I have decided to insure my right leg; probably not to the level of David Beckham’s foot but still it looks like it is more than worth it. Given how much this leg is starting to cost me! There is this medicine that thins your blood which I have to take for about three months – and because my prescription is obviously in the local language (and the medicine probably sells in the UK under completely different name) I popped in a pharmacy. Paid close to £50 for the medicine! Need to figure out a very profitable side hustle and very fast – otherwise I’ll get into such distress that OH will be a very rich man on my life insurance.
Apart from that, today is my name day. This is a very Christian Orthodox thing – we celebrate name days in Greece, Bulgaria and several other countries. But Assumption Day is a public holiday across the Catholic World as well. What it means here is that there is another reason for a party and for people to get you presents. I doubt I am getting any presents but we are having a celebration. Mainly because today is also my sister’s birthday! In the midst of all preparations I am almost entirely useless – can’t cook because I am not allowed to stand in one place; can’t clean because I am not allowed to pick up anything that is heavier than 2kg and find it hard to bend down. Everyone is involved in the preparations except me who is sitting down with my leg up and doing what I seem to be doing most of – writing. Will go out later to get a present for my sister but will have to gather strength to wash. Yep, washing is such an adventure that I need determination and creativity; and loads of cling film.
Oh, well! It will soon be over and my leg is already hurting less than it did before the op.
Keep safe, my friends
