I would have been caught out by this offer too had I been in the market for turkey and burgers.

No you wouldn't. Ones raw meat and the other cooked. They are located in different aisles, thats usually enough for people to know the offer is separate!

I certainly wouldn't have been confused by the offer.

Hardly, unless she's a member of this forum. It's like ganging up on someone behind their back so they are unable to defend themselves

Exactly. And the op is wrong!

I'm sorry I missed where the op said the turkey was cooked! Could you quote that bit for me, thanks.

If you follow my link you'll see that a number of RAW turkey products, diced, mince etc are on offer at 2 for £4.

    It's only a game

Technically on an offer as said on the page "
    MULTISAVE - TURKEY - 2 FOR £4"

I wouldn't have tried to include beefburgers!

If it's the raw one (didn't see that earlier) the offer from the page is:

    MULTISAVE - TURKEY - 2 FOR £4

I'll have to check my local tomorrow but I bet the sign has the same wording! Again, I wouldn't have thought a turkey offer would have included beef!

doesnt Asda generally use the X for £x shelf edge signes?
i dont recall seeing many signs where it states the exact items
as in today i bought I bought 2 for £3 yoghurts but it was only indicated by the 2 for £3 shelf labels and what was on those shelves

While on the .com page that may well be true, but in my experience Asda are good at dumping offers in an end chiller with just a big sign saying 2 for £4/bogof etc.
It's usual for various butcher meats to be in the same offer, and the fact that when the op queried the price he/she wasn't pointed towards the big sign saying what is/isn't in the offer shows there wasn't one and it was unclear.

I've misinterpreted multi-offers before, but have never had the treatment from staff like the op quotes here. A simple "sorry, they're not in the same offer, and yes ok it's not clear, but computer says no. " is all that's needed. Customer can refund any unwanted product and everyone's fine. I think it's the way the op was treated that's more of a problem than "knowing" how the offers work.

They must have details otherwise how would they have any legal defence about not mixing? I know what you mean but I bet if you look again the text will be somewhere. I'll have a look tomorrow, very confident I'll see clear text explaining the offers though ;)

Yeah but try as you might some people just can't take that and try and argue till the death!
