and yes I have worked in customer service before you ask...
Like I said, you may well have worked in a customer service environment where you dealt with mainly reasonable people. It's not always like that. I worked in retail for 13 years. Only a very small minority are unreasonable but it could vary widely from one environment to another. The worst I had was my first job at a Motorway Service Area. I then moved to another type of retail and it had a completely different type of customer.
So just because you've had some experience doesn't mean you don't know the potential whole story about an industry.0 -
Anyway I'm emailing Asda to let them know about this thread. It is then up to them what - if anything they choose to do about it.0

'Meat counter manager' could be male or female. Anyone sick enough to go and look her up now knows it is a woman, what she looks like, wears, her hairstyle and a rough idea of her age. We both know there are people like that on the internet. <rolleyes>
But hopefully none of them are either in Perth or willing to travel there. :rotfl:
oh I don't kmow Takoda, I'm in St,Andrews (blonde, bobbed hair 5 ft 6 lol) and I'm now considering the 35 min drive to Perth tomorrow just for the sport!!! lol :rotfl:0 -

No and that's a fair comment, but just so's you know I worked many years dealing with benefit claims for Jobcentreplus, so beleive me I've dealt with all sorts!!!!0 -

however you assume the OP is one of them?0 -

Work in an Asda for two years and eventually you'll come across someone who thinks you're rude because they don't like your answer however you deal with it. I'd never work at an Asda for that reason. It's the "He/she was so rude" thing!0 -

I know how Asda displays those products. I go to 2 Asda's of very different sizes. They are located nowhere near each other. From what I read here and from the over the top opening post with all the "he/she was so rude" stuff yes I do think thats the case. Assume is too weaker word form what I know and what I've read here.0 -
From experience I can tell you that writing to the customer service department at Asda House (headquarters) is a total waste of time.
I wrote a two page letter, and three weeks later I received a curt one sentence reply which basically told me it was being brushed under the carpet.
The reply was sent second class.:)0 -
What is the burger product anyway? I can see Turkey, I can't see beefburgers?

Yeah, that looks like a separate promotion to me!

I didn't read in the OP that the OP bought a cooked turkey product.
Is it not more likely that it was one of these products:

It seems to me that, having bought many similar offers in a number of supermarkets recently that raw diced turkey/other poultry and raw burgers are regularly in the same multisave offer.
I would have been caught out by this offer too had I been in the market for turkey and burgers.
I often shop in Asda Perth and may take a visit tomorrow just to see what the fuss is about..;)
It's only a game
