I was sat tonight and this popped into my head, hows the wee girlie doing? I hope her tail has healed well and she is back to her old happy self.

Thanks for taking the trouble to ask :) I've been meaning to update this but just haven't had time.

She seems fine & the tail has healed, just waiting for the fur to grow back... seems to be taking forever! You can just make out the bald stump in the 1st two pics

    Some pics...

    Waiting for breakfast.

Just a random one... Ignore the hooligan on the right ;)

Hopefully things will be ok but I suppose it's wait & see.

Sometimes you get some news & the only comment that fits is "Oh Bollox"......

Since Tuesday she's been constipated, so off to the vet on Thursday who had a good feel of her tummy & reckoned it could be constipation or she had eaten something causing a blockage but she couldn't feel anything.

We came home with some lactulose to try to "ease things along" & to take her back yesterday.

So back we went yesterday & she saw the vet who did the surgery, he gave her an internal &.... there's a lump partially blocking the bowel.

He's now going to contact the people who did the tests on the original tumour to find out the chances of it being the same thing but it was one of those moments where nothing was said & that said everything, if you know what I mean?

We have to wait now for him to get in touch with the lab with the prospect of a biopsy to confirm. This of course means another general anaesthetic & she didn't cope too well with the last one!

Deep down I know what it is & that it's a lost cause, I don't know if I want to put her through anymore when I'm pretty certain of the outcome.

I haven't told my wife yet, all she knows is there is a lump & whether she's put 2+2 together I don't know but she hasn't said anything & I'm not telling her until I know for sure!

Thanks for all the support & good wishes, your all top people :)

"Oh bollox" pretty much fits methinks!

I just dont know what to say. We have everything crossed here, and i need a tissue. Your choice of words is so right, it sucks. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

    Damm dammm dammit Paradigm.
Your blood just runs cold when the vet tells you this kind of news.
I am so sorry. But you never really do know, my girl was supposed to have what he thought was "an agressive form of rectal cancer". My heart just sank, but we were lucky, it was just two different conditions side by side.
My heart goes out to you my friend.

Oh Paradigm, I'm sorry to hear that there is another lump. I'm already in tears cause my boy is having a bad day today, don't really know what to say just to let you know we are thinking of you all and keeping everything crossed.

Keep us informed how you go.

No real news but I have spoken with the vet & he's waiting for the lab or whoever to get back to him.

The vet did say that if it was another tumour then, because of where it is, it would be virtually inoperable.

I think she will be having the biopsy, bless her, I need to be 100% certain before I do anything drastic.

Back to wait & see I guess.

Thanks again for the support :)
