I'm just in from work so sorry for the late post.
She seems fine, still a bit groggy but otherwise ok! The vet was a little concerned about her breathing after the anaesthetic & it's still a little laboured, so we'll keep an eye on it.... I told her to cut down on the smoking.
She still has half her tail which surprised me. So all in all not too bad.
Thanks for all the comments.
I'll take some pics when she's had her dressings removed.
Thanks all

Just a quick update....
The vet phoned my wife today to say that the tumour was "intermediate" & they are now testing the bone of the tail to see if it's progressed.
They are also offering a "gene labelling" test (might have got that wrong) to determine if it is likely to have spread, not sure if I want to know to be honest.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
I havew everything crossed ofr you both here. I hope she is a bit better today

She's absolutely fine, thanks. It's as if nothing ever happened until you notice half a tail wrapped in a pink bandage

I would research the net but that can be dangerous when you have little starting knowledge of the subject.... I haven't so I haven't, if you know what I mean.
I'm just happy she's here & I'll worry about other stuff if it happens!!Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
Glad to hear she's doing ok, me and my boy send hugs and sloppy kisses (they're the only type he does), and fingers & paws crossed for good results.0

I am glad to hear she is well in herself - fingers crossed for good test results - try not to worry too much in the mean time, hard I know, but it is not productive!0
