    Hello newbies and lurkers!
Mmm tara 747 is a bit quiet. How's Belfast Tara, how's the stash? Care to share? :p;):p

    Welcome newbies and lurkers.

On the subject of cream blushers, can you put powder over them? Sorry probably a basic question... I watched a make up artist rave about this product, in pink lemonade:
    http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~26.htm

I've so far managed to avoid ordering from this company. I can feel myself going all weak...

Come on Tara, spit it out!

I do like this site :D Very cheap. Not tried the colour sticks, but have tried lots of the other products and have found them to be really nice (apart from the mascara)

Ooooh! Sounds promising!!!!! When's the next one? How exciting!

Today and last night I have finished off sunsilk brunette conditioner (wiba? nope, didn't do much), dead sea spa magik hair treatment serum (wiba? maybe if on offer - it's very expensive and doesn't smell great) and oral b sensitive mouthwash (wiba? probably, it's £1 in Iceland)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Hi everyone, please could I join in your challenge? I know I have a addiction to buying toiletries that I need to get under control! My main problems are overbuying shower gels, body lotions/butters, and gift sets.

I would love to find out if anyone has the same problem as me .... I really love to find expensive brands at bargain prices, but can't bring myself to use them. I don't know what I am waiting for - a special occasion that never comes, or maybe I'm kidding myself that I am going to give things away as gifts, but never do! I've got 5 or 6 lovely Philosophy shower gels in different fragrances for example, but instead of opening one of them, I will buy a Tesco's own brand shower gel.

The same thing happens with gift sets I am given - I can't bring myself to open them and start using them. I have got some lovely stuff from Lush that I was given at Christmas, and I just look at it and think, I can't use this for "everyday use".

I know I have got to get over this as its ridiculous to keep spending more money when I've got all these lovely products here. Has anyone else had to deal with this issue? Can you give me any tips? lol And please don't advise me to ebay them, I just couldn't lol

Sorry for the long post, and hopefully I don't come across as some kind of nut! Love the thread and read a lot of the March one, thinking I must join in April ... so here I am!

    Candice xx

I find using my expensive skin care/bath stuff gets pushed back, not the same with makeup, which i do use. I've started using a Kanebo ream which must be over 12 years old now:o I feel now, from the challenge, that I an see a difference from using my things regularly, not keeping them for best. There is no point owning them and not using them, so...get using them!

I've finally finished the last massive bottle of Pro-V conditioner. Unless another one turns up. But it'd be quite hard to hide it, so I hope I'm safe. Starting a less massive bottle of Pro-V now, for a change! :rotfl:

I bought a liquid eyeliner today, because I miss it, but only a cheapo Tesco one for when I really can't face being noble and finishing up my pencils. Oh and a sample of foundation came in the post.

Well if you bought them at bargain prices they aren't too expensive to use:)

Ohhhh yes, this is true of lots of us!!! Read back to the start of the first thread (will find the link and post it here for you) and you will see how common this is. We have now decided that those expensive potions are doing us no good unless we use them! Now we're using them up, pampering/treating ourselves and looking better for it, which is the point of those products, non? Welcome to the challenge and a fab new you. :T

i think someone is avoiding the questions... lol
  • I'm on a roll now, just used up a the last of a tube of flexitol (WIBA, yes, but not until the other 2 in the stash are used up - feet are much softer after just 3 days of remembering to use it, and hands are looking better for applying it) and a no7 toner (WIBA, no, too harsh for my face and I prefer the cucumber range at boots, suits my skin better).

Have to admit to using more of a product in a single use now than before, but as I'm just using up products that have been open since I moved in 4 years ago I'm thinking it's no bad thing if they go quickly, but when I start on the unopened things I'll use them properly. I'm really looking forward to starting on some of the gift sets I've got, some I got for Xmas 2008 and have never even opened, like an Elle bathing one which looks fantastic, and I keep hearing about BS body butters, but can't open mine until I've got through about 7 other moisturisers... I hope I'm not disappointed (it's a coconut one BTW, which everyone seems to like!)

OK OK OK Bronnie, moneytalking, mineallmine, rosemary54, mrs-moneypenny, trudij and vicster, sorry for leaving you all in suspense!! :rotfl: My work PC had a fit and broke down, then I had to go home. So here I am to confess. blush.gif

So first, I went into Boots to get some double faced cotton pads for my mum (I'd raved about mine so she asked me to get her some). I intended to go straight to the till, but passed the clearance shelf... anyway, I picked up umpteen packs of liquorice, nut/seed bars and 4/5 gorgeous girlie pressies for a friend's DD.

They were all priced between 20p and £1 but the SA only charged me the price of the pads plus £1!!!!!! I worked out that they should have been about £10 altogether. She did scan them all in, so maybe they were all further reduced to 5p or something. Anyway, I paid with points and skedaddled!! :rotfl:

Then I went to Superdrug  to check out the half price Vit E stuff, and ended up buying the Vit E facial oil, Vit E eye cream, tea tree oil (for spots and also mould on bathroom tiles), a Silky Mitt, Clarins Doux Peeling, a fab Lancome lipstick set (to put away for mum's Christmas stocking - organised or what) and a pack of half price Plenty kitchen towels (needed!)... and the whole lot came to £12.11!! I'd used one of the Superdrug survey codes so I got 25% off (already half price) own brand stuff and 10% off everything else!

Anyway, obviously I feel very guilty... sorry! What is my punishment? blush.gif
