Getting closer to finishing the dreaded body lotion 130ml left. Want to start using body butter
Hi skaps, how about leaving the dreaded body lotion near the kitchen sink to use up as a hand cream? And treat yourself now with the body butter? Hey I know we should finish one thing before starting another but sometimes you need the good stuff to keep the spirits up. :A

I did the OCM last night with sweet almond oil (thanks to Bronnie, I will be forever grateful for that tip) - I do it about 2x per week and my skin feels amazing afterwards. But I have to do it in the bath or shower otherwise it goes all over the floor lol!!
Hi t747, mmm you've just given me an idea. I'm struggling to use the Superdrug Vitamin E oil up - my face grumbles if oil is left on it overnight. But I could use this as an alternative - and as the oil cleaning method. Might give that a go. I've been like a teenager today trying out make-up. A grown up Girl's World! (runs away thinking no one is young enough here to remember those...:rotfl:)

Mineallmine - great idea to have hand lotion near kitchen sink. Decanted the last of my old bubble bath into handwash bottle in bathroom as out of handwash. Now starting on M&S bubble bath. Going to put hand lotion beside kitchen sink and bathroom so hope to use some of it up.

I did buy a new Mac cream blusher yesterday (£16.50), however, it lasts for ages and the old one must have run out at least a year ago.

I have been muddling along all winter with a fairly cheapie powder blush DD rejected, so think I've been patient enough. The Mac cream blusher gives a lovely dewy rosy glow.

There is also likely to be a £7.99 L'Oreal Voluminous mascara purchase today, again old one has run out and have been trying to use up 2 I don't like, but need a decent replacement for hols.

These are planned and necessary purchases and therefore in the spirit of the challenge!! (as if I needed to explain myself to you girls!!)

The L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner bizarrely, is working very well on my hair this time. Wondering if it's cos I'm using it lavishly? Last time I was being a bit tight with it, but now, cos I thought I didn't really like it, I've been using loads each time to try to get rid of it and I must say my hair is lovely. Weird??!!

Bin....nasty old 3/4 used powder blusher.

Fab CS finds Tara, I bought one of those mixing bowls in Morrisons the other week for £5.99 and thought that was a bargain.

Bronnie would you recommend the Mac blusher for a more mature lady I will be 50 this year, I am not happy with my powder blusher. I have just realised that we have a Mac counter in our Dingles in town, may pop in to try this one out.

This morning i used up a No7 Intense volume mascara WIBA? Yes in fact it'll probably be the one i buy when i've used up my stash. It makes my lashes look really thick and long. I've got a mini one of these to use up as well.

The S & G Clean Girls is hanging on in there i thought it'd be gone this morning but no there's still some left.

  • Hi everyone, please could I join in your challenge? I know I have a addiction to buying toiletries that I need to get under control! My main problems are overbuying shower gels, body lotions/butters, and gift sets.

I would love to find out if anyone has the same problem as me .... I really love to find expensive brands at bargain prices, but can't bring myself to use them. I don't know what I am waiting for - a special occasion that never comes, or maybe I'm kidding myself that I am going to give things away as gifts, but never do! I've got 5 or 6 lovely Philosophy shower gels in different fragrances for example, but instead of opening one of them, I will buy a Tesco's own brand shower gel.

The same thing happens with gift sets I am given - I can't bring myself to open them and start using them. I have got some lovely stuff from Lush that I was given at Christmas, and I just look at it and think, I can't use this for "everyday use".

I know I have got to get over this as its ridiculous to keep spending more money when I've got all these lovely products here. Has anyone else had to deal with this issue? Can you give me any tips? lol And please don't advise me to ebay them, I just couldn't lol

Sorry for the long post, and hopefully I don't come across as some kind of nut! Love the thread and read a lot of the March one, thinking I must join in April ... so here I am!

    Candice xx

Definitely! I have really missed using it and definitely want it back for spring/Summer make-up. I think a dewy glow is a far more youthful look than a powder. When I first got it the Mac beautician showed me how to apply it for a natural day look.....apply to your ring finger and starting at the centre top of the apple of your cheek, pat it around. She applied it higher up the apple of my cheek than I would usually and it gave quite a lift! I used to use a Maybelline cream blushstick, which was about half the price but used up reallyy quickly and had no staying power. The Mac one lasts for absolutely ages, so is worth the price.
