tara747: Sorry, the name escaped me earlier but I meant Boot's Original Formula rosewater is not the same, this one http://boots.com/en/Boots-Original-Beauty-Formula-Skin-Tonic-150ml_857706/
You want this one to replace NYR's: http://www.boots.com/en/Botanics-Organic-Rosewater-Toner-150ml_51238/
Yes, I have tried both of these and definitely preferred the Botanics! I will get some but have to use up about 10 bottles of BS cucumber water first!

after making time to have done two face massages on consecuive days with oil I woke up, after not much sleep, to be very pleasantly surprised with how my skin looks. I swear I look much younger since starting this challenge. using things regularly and being more attentive to very small changes in skin really is paying off. There ar times in the last couple of years I have felt like I look ten years older than I am. I think at a push today I could pass for a few years younger.
That's great LIR, bet you're thrilled!!!
On another note, my parents will probably be heading back home to Oz soon, now that Heathrow is open again... I am really dreading them going because it has been great having them visit me and I am worried about being lonely...

I am using the S&G eye gel at the moment. It feels nice and cooling, but I can't honestly say that it makes a difference to my eyes. However, I haven't yet found an eye product that does, and this does feel nice on.Can anyone recommend the S&G eye gel or is their serum better? I tried a bit of the eye gel on the back of my hand yesterday and it was very glittery!0 -
I have noticed that a lot of the posters on here are also on the declutter 2010 thread and some on the shabby chic thread too (hellooooooo tara!). What with that and the grocery challenges it does seem as though there is a shift in the behaviour of the general poulation.
There will always be rampant consumers but I'm noticing that my colleagues are tending to be more MS over time. Even my friend who is a die hard devoted spending addict has swapped her weekly take away with friends for a weekly cooked meal with each family taking it in turns.
Maybe we are all worried about the environment or maybe we're concerned about our cash. Maybe we've all realised that our houses are too small. What ever it is that's caused this shift in thinking must be a good thing.
My main issue with the collection of toiletries was that I didn't have functional storage. I had my present stash in the bottom of the wardrobe but couldn't access it to see what I had. We're also trying to save money to pay off the mortgage without impinging on getting our house finished off.
I was horrified when I realised how much stuff I had lying around and am almost at the end of that lot now but was also given more for Christmas which boosted the levels again!
My main driver for this is because I want DH to sort out a shower for us in the bathroom. He insists that there isn't space despite me designing the bathroom so that we could have one. Once all the bits are gone, everything should fit into the cupboards.
I just feel the weight lifting from my shoulders when I see stuff not being there. The light is more able to travel around our house (which has a tendency to be dark) and it is far far easier to clean.
I want to pare down everything in my home so that there is only usefull or beautiful stuff in there (ie no rolls of loft insulation sitting in my hallway!).
Just have to make sure that our bedroom gets finished soon......
My eye feels better today. It was still swollen this morning but it doesn't hurt anything like as much as it did yesterday. Right, off to find some lippy!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Have finished a bottle of Green Tea this morning, thank goodness - I like it, but thought it would never end. When I've managed to finish my backlog  I'm going to make a real effort to use things as I get them - saving them only means using them up later, when you've become less keen on them.0

I have reached EXACTLY the same point in my life: I have realised that 'just enough' of anything is already quite a lot, and as a result I'm trying to get rid of the excess. I'm fineding this and the Ebay challenge very good for getting rid of the excess and trying (but it's much harder on the toiletries one) not to buy more new stuff. Please call me 'Pickle'

Lol, it is funny how different things suit different people - I find this moisturiser amazing for my skin - it's the only thing that makes it better when it's dry, i can almost feel my skin sucking it in - I use it every day and it keeps my skin perfectly moisturised and balanced, I just haven't ever found aything else as good for me.
It is funny, isn't it? It's not the first time I've used it, and it has always been fine before, but I think it's something to do with it being winter, and also possibly the dodgy air con where I work at the minute. If I change jobs, things might go back to normal.
Different strokes...*shrugs shoulders*Please call me 'Pickle'

Totally agree with you Kaz. I'm on a mission to clear our house of its clutter. My husband is terrible for buying stuff just because it's cheap of it'll come in useful or any other manner of excuse he can find. We have enough books to set up a library, more dvds than Blockbuster and then there was my contribution with my toiletry obsession and the mini branch of Lush in the bathroom.
I'll get there eventually though, and DH has made a start and almost cleared the landing of the clutter that came out of various rooms but then never made it to the tip.0 -

, can you please advise me of an eye gel to begin using?
I'm in my early 20s but my skin around my eyes is starting to feel delicate and I think it might get a bit papery soon? I've been using a tester of the Benefit eye gel (as I have a soft spot for benefit) over the past couple of nights but I think it is drying them out and are leaving them sore (almost like an eyelash has been in my eye and i've been rubbing them!). As they say prevention is better than cure?
Thanks in advance

I forgot to answer before - but I absolutely love Time Delay Wrinkle Reduce eye cream and you can often get it for under £2 with the £5 'skinnie' vouchers in Boots.I have noticed that a lot of the posters on here are also on the declutter 2010 thread and some on the shabby chic thread too (hellooooooo tara!). I totally agree!! I am really trying my best to buy as few toiletries as poss, and I have improved hugely since Christmas. I also had a bit of an eBay blitz but CBA at the moment as the evenings are too nice to be listing stuff on eBay! I will get back into it though.
Even clothes etc, I am definitely buying less as I am conscious that we only have so much space and I probably already have too much as it is.
I am also buying some new storage things e.g. baskets, pretty boxes etc - so that I can store things away and the rooms will look nicer. I am looking forward to us buying our own house, I will design some lovely storage for every nook and cranny! And I also can't wait to get some lovely furniture and do it, the shabby chic thread is my inspiration!!!
:D Buying less will enable me to save more into the deposit fund so it's win win all round.

Since my earlier post I've also finished a tube of Jergens Ultra Hydrating moisturiser. WIBA? Maybe. It's not as good as TBS body butter which I love but maybe I will use it in the Summer as it's quite a bit thinner.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
