No Buying Toiletries in April Challenge!

I must check out MUA, have never been on it but it could help me to get rid of a few unwanted products. Can you swap stuff that's been opened?
Yes, nearly everything is a did-not-work-for-me.
Unless you're iffy about opened products, but many bona fide swappers would not swap anything they themselves would not be happy to receive, i.e. not anything on its last legs, fakes, etc.
Swapping makeup is fun, not so sure about how hygienic it is. If you stick to powders nothing can breed. Toiletries have a long shelf-life, defo an easy way to get rid of expensive and cheaper toiletries that have lost its novelty. Brilliant way to get rid of perfume without the guilt too!0 -

Me too. But Beauty Day is so hard to resist! When else do you get OTO prices, and Easy Pay, and Free P&P (how hateful are their postage rates!?), and Try me prices, etc. Thankfully, it's only a few times a year...
My finish up's (pending a shower tonight):
- Daniel Galvin Hairjuice Shampoo. WIBA? No thanks. Replaced with YTC Shampoo.
- YTC Conditioner. WIBA? Hell yes! And I have - before prices officially rise in May
. £5 for 500ml, no brainer methinks! 0 -
Evening all, I am all showered and body buttered and feeling good! Ahhh bliss.Have used up a Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion and a Sensodyn toothpaste. WIBA? Toothpaste yes, lotion - not so sure. Not in winter at least as it didn't quite moisturise it enough in the winter.
I agree, it has the consistency and appearance of custard and doesn't moisturise that well. It also has no SPF, and that crosses any moisturiser off my list I'm afraid......
Eye gel is still going - I think someone is replacing it at night:rotfl::rotfl:
LOL! I believe in the fairy that replaces all the stuff you'd really rather finish! :rotfl:
STILL no flake wins either - I must have eaten about 13 flakes so far - and bought 3 multipacks (the nine ones too - nt the small ones!!) in tesco the other day - SURELY I must win one with that lot?? (not that Im obsessed or anything!!!)
no news on the man front (for any of you who are interested!!) have had the odd text but not seen him for ages. Methinks either I need to ask him what the flip is going on,if anything - or just give up.... (giving up seems to be winning at the moment, surely if he was interested he'd be more frthcoming???!!)
Hmm tricky! I say play it cool, but then I'm a stubborn moo sometimes so don't be relying on advice from me. Hope it gets sorted one way or another, remember you are fab xo
p.s. hope you win a lipstick soon! :rotfl:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Yes Bootsie's Botanics' one which is 100% organic, not that Bootsie's vintage looking Rosewater which is not so holy and natural.
Is that the Glycerin and Rosewater one?
Thanks for the links btw.

Oooh great, thanks.
I wouldn't swap makeup for hygiene reasons so thanks for the tip off. Must investigate!!! :T:T:T:TGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Evening ladies. No so much as a used up as I managed to lose a lip balm today. It was one I'd been testing, but I'm pretty certain it was a Body Shop hemp one (tasted and felt exactly the same) so I'm a bit miffed, as it's really good. Still, plenty more where that came from. I've got an Aveda one which is also pretty good (tastes like fruit salad chews) so I can concentrate on using that one.
Found a handcream in one of my stash boxes that I'd obviously tested at some point - think it's Tesco as it said Protect & Prevent. I don't remember it being quite so vile when I was testing it - quite greasy and didn't smell too great so I think it must have gone off. Needless to say, into the bin with that.
Other than that, still working through my Lush stash. I've been given (honest) one of the new Lush solid serums, Full of Grace - not sure if they're on sale yet in the shops yet - and it's lovely. I've been using it at night. I haven't tried it through the day, because it's quite easy to overdo it if you're not careful, since you melt it in your hands to use - it's like a mini massage bar. Smells gorgeous as well.
Kaz, make sure you get that eye checked out tomorrow. You don't want to run the risk of an infection.0 -

Yes To Carrots perhaps?

tara747: Sorry, the name escaped me earlier but I meant Boot's Original Formula rosewater is not the same, this one http://boots.com/en/Boots-Original-Beauty-Formula-Skin-Tonic-150ml_857706/
You want this one to replace NYR's: http://www.boots.com/en/Botanics-Organic-Rosewater-Toner-150ml_51238/0 -
Hi Babafette,Also forgot to mention earlier that I actually finished my stash of Multibionta vitamins on Saturday and am nearly through another box of fruit tea. I've now started on my two boxes of Prebio 7 capsules. Slowly but surely......
I'm struggling with using up my facial skincare stuff at the moment though as my rosacea has been very bad. It's getting me down now so I think I might have to go back to the doctor.
The raw shea butter sounds interesting London baby. Does it smell nice?
I would describe the scent of raw shea butter as a nutty kind of smell. It does take time getting used to it and when I was first using it I was very conscious. However, the smell does fade after five mins. I've tested this by getting my lil brother to smell me and believe me, he would take pleasure in telling me I smell lol.
Just painted my toenails a lilac colour and polished my fingernails using Sally Hansen's nail strengthener bought from poundland. WIBA? Probably yes, don't know if it really strengthens my nails as I always cut mine short but I like the way it gives my nails a buffed and shiny look
Used up a St. Ive's apricot scrub sample I've had for ages. WIBA? No, if I had oily skin it would be a very good scrub as I felt the grains really exfoliating my skin. However, my face did feel a bit dry and tight afterwards. I will continue to use the Skinfood exfoliating scrub I purchased from Amazon which is organic.
Used up Solar Expertise anti wrinkle suncream SPF 15. Goodness knows why I have this, I think I went through a phase of collecting samples. WIB? Maybe, nice consistency on skin, not too thick or too watery like some sun face creams.
Also just used up Dr Pierre Ricaurd expert fermente cream. Again, no idea where this came from. WIB? Probably not, sunk nicely into skin but far too perfumed.0 -
No use ups to report unfortunately!
Hope you feel better soon Kaz, make sure you get it checked out!
Well done on the wins jacjacjac, you must be chuffed! Can't wait to get my lipsticks too! Hope you win one soon trudij!
Had a Dove sample shower gel through the post today and an order from elf...I'm loving the all over colour stick...makes me look *ahem* flushed
I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0
