Don't know about gels, but I am an utter eye cream cynic who has tried samples of lots of them over the years and never gone any further than that until recently when I tried Nivea Visage Natural Beauty Radiance Boosting eye cream and was really impressed! In fact, I was impressed enough with the sample that I have since bought a tube of it. Quite honestly I've always said eye creams were a bit of a waste of money, but this one actually has seemed to make a difference.

Thanks for that!!

I know this is a no more toiletries thread but for those of you who use the protect and perfect range, I saw today that they have a set of the serum, night cream and day cream for £31. It should be £62 if bought separately.
I use the serum and night cream. Please don't tell me that I ought to be using the day cream as well! Although saying that, at that price it's still cheaper than even the 3 for 2?
Any hoo, to much of the CBA about that for me so I shan't bother. Eye's feeling a little sore tonight, still looks fine on the inside (well not fine, it's like a mouth ulcer- but no sign of infection yet). I'm not feeling so bad today, I think yesterday may well have been my body saying- "go to bed Kaz, I've got work to do and I need the energy!" and fighting off nasties. I'm quite sickeningly healthy usually apart from a permacold which is easing off more as the children are older!
DD (8) was lecturing me tonight and saying I shouldn't be wearing eye make up if I have a sore eye. Just look rubbish was her advice!

On the skin front, my face, I'm sure is looking so much better. I've purply scars around my chin from spots but I seem to have settled. My friend at work commented a while back that I was looking better. Before Christmas she told me she wanted me to go to the Dr in the new year because I looked poo (in the nicest way!) so it's good to be feeling and looking better. Maybe it's the pampering but I think it's the fact that I'm not seeming to react to the coil so badly now (a year in!).

LiR, I have a bottle of nail varnish remover on the stairs if you'd like to borrow it? Did 2 coats of a nice tangerine(ish) red (if that can be so) with a hint of glitter on my toes today- but it's chipped :( .
Right. Off to bed soon. BTW, anyone notice how it's really cloudy again today and how there's rain forecast for tomorrow? Yet air travel has no effect on the environment!
I wish they'd just fill up the flights, it shouldn't be that hard surely?

Thanks Kaz and glad the eye's a bit better. But groan!! I have a £25 Boots gift card to use. I need P&P night cream soon.

I still have 2 day creams from the previous 3 for 2 promotion. I don't use the serum. So buy the set for £31 (£15.50 each, offset by the profit from the ebaying the serum, but will still carry forward 2 spare day creams) Or buy 3 night creams on the 3 for 2 for £41 (or £13.37 each) which will see me through to September with a spare night cream in hand. Or just buy 1 night cream with the gift card for £20.50, which will then technically be a no-spend??

Plus there's another damn free gift on over £22 spend with another one of thosedamn mimi mascaras with the stupid plastic wand and some random eye-shadows I don't want or need. Excuse me, Mr |Boots can I just have another couple of quid off the price instead?!!

I think my stars must be in a strange alignment today, I'm rarely in such an indecisive state!!

ETA Oh the free gift does have a sample P&P eye cream in though!!

Iceland goes bankrupt, then it manages to set itself on fire. This has insurance scam written all over it.

LOL.

Grr, well my skin which is otherwise fantastic ATM has thrown out two horrid spots over night. I will be insanely dabbing with spot cream today to try and get the worst over with before Saturday and my little party.

after worry of whether we would get to go on holiday OHs firm has a/told him he must go to Wales and Ireland next week so missing concert I spent £60 buying tickets for BUT also said the cancelled meeting from this week(which could have gone ahead as plane did fly) will be on the tuesday after bank holiday monday meaning he will have to fly on the BH and arrive back(hopefully) late tuesday/wed a.m when we then fly off to hols at 10 wed am:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:Boss man denied all knowledge of booked holiday and insisted OH goes (OH then got ratty with me cos I was (understandably) worried about holiday actually happenning)

he said he could always meet me there!!!!NO WAY if only cos of extra costa involved, firms think they own you body and soul these days.:(:(:(:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:.( of course he will by then be even more tired and in need of a holiday and not in a good mood at all,is it worth it?

Oh Rosemary, you poor thing, that's horrible! The company me and OH work for are pretty horrible to him too (I'm just a till jockey so they don't worry about me!) so I do feel for you! Hopefully he'll be able to come back Tuesday night? Fingers crossed for you!

Maybe try an eye gel? Put it in the fridge for a bit? You don't need to buy a special one though! Use one you've already got!!!!
I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around
