    I've been Money Tipped!
Just slipping in to say almost finished my mix of oil, migh need to look at a new carrier oil this week for oil cleansing.

also finished a Palmolive aromatherapy Sensual showergel. WIBA? Yes, its the second bottle I've used...also had the purple one. although they are not terribly luxurious they are strong smelling which I like, especially mid week when I am showering lots after dirty work. Inspired by this I bought two bottles of limited edition frangipani one of the range, before this challenge, thinking the scent would be more ''me'' but was really disappointed with it. Only got a bottle and a half left of that and a scraping of my favorite rose one and then I've finished our showergels. :) Have decided to stick with the organic brand in the future I think.

Starting to panic a bit about not having a stash of clothes wash powder/liquid as opened last box today...anyone know what lidls ones are like? We have a lidl locally but never really go in there, but if the clothes wash is worth it I will next week. (local choice is lidle, morrisons or at a push could tesco next week.)
  • Its all gone wrong girls ... took a 'short cut' through to the high street through boots ... passed the clearance rack and bought a neals yard lavender toner for £2 ... which would be great if I needed toner and if I hadn't set myself a challenge to not buy ANYTHING this month ... oh dear ...

I always find toner more useful in the summer, and lavender will be nice for the season...get using it!
  • Aw ... thanks for trying to make me feel better - I can't believe I didn't make my month - am hopeless:rotfl:
I do love a bit of neal's yard though so I will enjoy using it once I finish up my current body shop one.
This thread has really made me think about what I buy and why though ... not just cosmetics but in other areas too so thanks all :T
  • Hello girlies!

I am so relieved there are ladies like me, a bit bonkers when it comes to buying toiletries! It's April already, and that Christmas promise to stop spending is long forgotten.

No more, from today, I promise to streamline my beauty shelf and cupboards, for more space not replacement products, and really savour and enjoy my goods at home! It beats me, if there was a war declared tomorrow, I'd survive and "make do" for more than a year! It's crazy, and scary how much more I don't need - just want "to try".

But holy father, I need confess my recent sins:

    1) I received my £60 spend at Liz Earle this week - nothing new, just stocking up on the usuals. (Does that count? Or does that mean I need to swap my usuals for cheaper stuff? ).

    2) Just received the BS Carrot Cream that's been relaunched. Surely that can't count? It may be discontinued at any moment! :O I had to have it!

This is a no or low spend thread? If it's the former, I am going to struggle!

What a bargain! I used their rosewater, bur recently swapped it for the Botanic's Rosewater. I am not lying but there's no difference, save the saving of £5-6. And the NYR is only 100ml....

BTW, their lavender toner is nothing but lavender water and a few drops of essential oil. Easy to make, so no excuses next time unless it's £2! :p

Why do I never see NYR at Boots? I though their 'boutique' brands were always online only?

    Must second, third, fourth this!

    You're :A

Go on, spill, what was the other money spent on? :D

Shame about the tresemme cause I love the shampoo but not so keen on the conditioner! Wish we could swap things!

    Try MUA?

Lot's of swapping going on for used stuff, and it's a no spend way of trying something for nothing :)

I must try making lavender toner, where does one buy lavender water please?

Is it the Boots rosewater and glycerin you're talking about? It looks nice, can it be used as toner? I might check that out too. :D Mind you, thanks to the Body Shop glitch-fest in the last 7-8 months, I have enough cucumber water to last me till I'm 90!!! :rotfl: I love that stuff, if they ever discontinue it I will be so sad...

It might be very expensive to post though, if it's one of the big bottles...
