2 more use-ups to report from last night:

Finally finished that night cream - I thought it was Dior for some reason, but it was "Lancome Genefique" night cream. It was a very generous free sample in a lovely glass pot. I decided i might as well finish it despite worries over dry skin, as there was only a little left anyway... WIBA? No. I liked it at the start, as it felt so rich and luxurious, but by the end I was a lot less keen, it actually started to sting a little when put on, and didn't make me look any younger as promised :p. And the price is apparently £50! Not worth it.

I don't really use a separate night cream, so I think what I really liked was the feeling of a richer cream at night, so I'm going to slather on Nivea soft at night now - it's already open, I know it suits my skin, and it's thicker than my cliniqe lotion, so it'll last longer, and i'll get that nice luxurious feeling at night still :)
Once that's finished I have a free Simple night cream to try as well.

Also used up TIGI Bed Head Dumb Blonde Reconstructor Conditioner - 750ml  It's been going for ages, the bottle was so big! I can't remember when i got it, or what i paid, as i got it quite a while ago, had it shashed for yonks, and have been working through it for a long time! WIBA? Yes actually - I really like it. I could never make up my mind about the smell, as it's slightly vinegary, but I got used to it, and found it quite comforting after a while. And it was great for my hair :T. However, it costs between £15-25 for a bottle that size .
Which I suppose is ok for how much you get, but I'd probably only buy it again if on offer - I'm pretty sure I didn't pay that first time round! And I'd dilute it a little in the bottle when there was room - it's really thick! I only thought about this the past couple of nights when i was finishing it, and had to mix with some water to get the ends out. It still seemed to work just as well, was easier to work through hair, and woudl have lasted (even!) longer if I'd thought about it before.
(It's a protein conditioner for those now checking the type they need :))

Still plenty of conditioner to get through yet though before I have to worry abotu buying more :rotfl:

Hi everybody - sorry to everyone who should be flying off on their hols. From the last I heard it looks like planes may be taking off after 7.00 this evening.

Not strictly a finished product but I had to throw away a 30ml tube of Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser today as I think it's gone off. It did smell funny when we opened it on holiday however was putting my travel bag away today and found it had leaked over my hand cream and decided to chuck it.

WIBA? I'm not sure. I do like it but am now left wondering, problably like a lot of LE fans, whether the formula will become cheapened once Avon get their hands on the products. Only time will tell. I use her moisturisers as night cream as I find them too heavy during the say and have a few night creams in the stash to use up first. x
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

re the flake comp i was on the understanding the codes are unique so to enter using more than one email addy you'd have to buy more woudnt you? They allow 2 entries per email addy per day and it doesnt close till 31st october 2010 so you still have plently of time left to win.

Correct, the email thing applies to people entering from Ireland (that's Tara and me and maybe others on here) The code required for Ireland is the barcode which is the same on every pack. The comp ends in Ireland on April 25th.

I'd like a bottle of the Genefique serum but it's way too expensive, I've never been a huge fan of lancome because I find all their creams to be very perfumed. Not into it's sister company L'oreal either for the same reason. I prefer OLAY to L'oreal.

well done everyone on stash slimming!

i have accidently accumulated a hemp handcream and a hemp gift set from the body shop.... they sent me someone's order by mistake (i think thats a bad sign that they have my address on record :rotfl: ) and when i called up to tell them they told me to keep it as a goodwill gesture and that it wasn't worth their money to collect and redeliver!

sooooo goodies for me - but i gave the handcream to my grandma and the gift set is a handy present for my friend's birthday this weekend! Shame though as i wanted to give her something from my ALREADY massive BS stash

Oh well could be worse I suppose... :)

Hi fixx, not that you need to buy at the moment, but I know I've seen this in TKMaxx (cos I bought some, it was last year). Sadly I didnt get on with (see we're all different) but I think it was under a tenner. :A

    I've been Money Tipped!
I get some of my tigi at TK Max. Its not very reliale sorce though. Dumb Blonde wasn't the best for me either, but I did like the smell!

I still think honey and oatmeal smells amazing, unusually for me because its sweet smelling, it smells a little like a cocktail...can't remember the name ATM. I also lov the smell of the rosey-minty one in the bg pink bottle....can't remember the name butit is protein too, and a treatment conditioner, though I love it as an ordinary conditioner.

I have used up an Imperial Leather Thai Fusion shower gel, WIBIA - yes but only once I've rid of the other 15 bottles of shower gel.
I'm almost finished a M&S handcream, just cutting down the sides to get the leftovers out. WIBIA - no, didn't think it was very moisturising but had a nice smell.
However I did stock up in Primark their VSIP range was down to 25p, I liked the body butter and exfoliator so bought a couple (hmm more like half a dozen!)

Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

  • Used up an Aveda Brilliant conditioner - does nothing brilliant for me so WIBA? uh-uh.

Desperately need a new mascara ... the only thing I don't have a back up of, let alone a stash ... will I cave before the end of the month? Watch this space ... :)
