No Buying Toiletries in April Challenge!

Can I ask about a nail polish I know was mentioned here before. It was a new No7 one, black with glitter. Was that definitely No7? I couldn't find it in Boots. I wasn't going to buy it because I only buy No7 when there's a voucher.
Currently wearing No7 Night Silver and I LOVE it and have had lots of compliments on it. It's silver/grey, kind of metallic.

On a more personal note is it possible and has anyone ever had thrush from any shower gel etc?
I woke up this morning and i think ive got it.
Never had it before and i had a boiling bath last night with a Molton Brown shower gel. Although ive never had this problem before with that gel? Not sure what else it could be. Sorry to divert the conversation!
OMG can't believe how good you have been Jewelleryfan!!! :T
The thrush may have been caused by the hot water, I agree with fozziebeartoo. Hope you get it sorted soon xo

I haven't posted at all in April. My parents have been visiting me from Australia and we have been travelling around the UK a bit (I have been reading the thread on my iphone though)... Mum and Dad were due to go back home tomorrow, but their flight has been cancelled due to the volcano (which I am secretly happy about because I hate saying goodbye!!). :T
I have donated lots of bits and bobs of brand new toiletries (S&G etc) that I was never going to use to my Mum (but I have also bought a few more bits and bobs too... I can't remember what I have bought at the moment, but I will post if I do manage to remember). Anyway, the donations were much appreciated as my Mum loves toiletries as much as me and has been loving Boots!!
While I was away, three of the Benefit lipsticks that I won from the Flake comp arrived and I gave one of them to my Mum (I do have one more on the way though). I also received a decent sized sample of the Dove shower creme that I was in the photoshoot for and a Maybelline foundation sample (which I also gave to my Mum)...
I almost bought 2 eyeshadows (Rimmel and Maybelline) in Poundland today, but put them back on the shelf when I remembered how many eyeshadows I already have (proud moment for me) - but I did buy one of those Pure/Botanics bath mousse thingies... Not sure if I am making much progress, but I am definitely thinking more before I buy!! :AI'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!0 -

I won again but I've been entering every day from all 3 of my email addresses. The wins all came from the same email address and the other accounts didn't win at all. The aren't being generous. The comp ends on April 25th according to the website. I hope they don't extend it because I feel compelled to enter every day and I'm getting really tired of it.
This email thing applies to Ireland only by the way, there are no wrapper codes like in the UK. I bought a multipack of flake bars today so the comp must be having the desired effect on me.

Hi girls!
I must've been one of the last people who snuck back into the UK last night before the airports closed down. Don't know whether I'm glad or not, actually. A few more days sunbathing wouldn't have been too much of a hardship. Absolute rubbish luck on those hoping to travel out though.
Had a lovely hol and the weather was fab!
Am singing the praises of the Lush Godiva solid shampoo and conditioner bar. Amazing stuff. I was really sceptical that it would lather up as my hair is shoulder length and quite thick. Just rubbed the bar across my hair 2 or 3 times and then it lathered amazing well. The first time, my hair didn't really feel conditioned. It felt a bit like wet cotton wool when rinsed and I was a bit worried. However I wanted lots of volume and body in it when styled and it was actually really shiny and soft all holiday (washed every night) . Made sure I left the bar to dry out after use. hardly any has been used up and I think it will be very economical. I've nearly finished my existing shampoo and conditioner and think I will carry on using it and maybe experiment with another type. It was £5.50, but I think it will probably out-last at least a couple of bottles-worth of shampoo. Great for holidays and perfect for minimal packers (as I have become!!)
No hope of catching up with the thread, but more from me tomorrow, no doubt!!

I too have wavy/curly hair(depends on waether!) and used to always have a wet cut as my then stylist said it was what I needed, when she left the woman I now have said a dry cut was fine so saved some money as God knows how much a wet cut would be:eek:oh didnt realise it was a dry cut!!

Bought some new shampoo and conditioner yesterday as the ones I currently have aren't doing my hair any good, and my mum has taken hers on holiday with her so I can't use them any more!
Also bought some of that Baptiste dry shampoo that everyone keeps going on about as it's exactly the kind of thing I need, and a big, blue pot of Nivea as my feet are as dry as the desert.
Oh, also bought 2 Lacuna lip glosses as I'm in a bit of a make-up rut and one of the girls at work basically said that it didn't look like I wore any make-up the other day. Don't get me wrong, I like that natural look, but that might be taking it a bit far! Please call me 'Pickle'
