Hey EH, dont you just hate it when something you hate... takes ages to run out. How about being extra generous with it - so lots on your feet under socks, lots onto elbows and knees, how about your back (yep a nightmare to reach) but even some on your lower back helps use it up. Best of luck, it will be gone soon! :beer:EssexHebridean wrote: »Problem is, it's quite thick and takes ages to soak in. Putting jammies over the top of it is one thing but I don't really want to be putting regular clothes on too soon after applying it. The other thing is the time thing - I start work at 8am so try to keep morning routines to an absolute minimum! Thankfully he's got a stinking cold at the moment so I just need to try to get through it before he gets his sense of smell back I think - and I will definately not be buying again!
Well I had a shampoo and a conditioner through the post today. I'd complained to a Sainsbugs company about the quality of their blonde range (it was truly poor quality, like ultra cheap shampoo) and they sent some of their other range through that I do like. Mmm, the shampoo/conditioner stash has now grown a bit too much.
Off to have a pamper/bath (lazy thing look at the time! ah well back to work soon).

Morning all, a few more use-ups to report:
Boots Fresh Best Before Bedtime bath milk - WIBA? No, probably not. It was ok, foamed up ok but nothing special and the little fragrance there was completely disappeared when it was in the water. Not particularly moisturising either.
Avon Planet Spa Olive Oil Hydrating Wash - WIBA? Yes, if it was on offer (but not until I've cleared my stash!). Moisturising with a nice fragrance. Goes well with the other items in the same range.
Silvikrin hairspray maximum hold- huge size. WIBA? Yes as its my favourite. Holds well but hair is still soft and flexible. One more left of these.
I avoided the Philosophy set on QVC :T even though I was severely tempted, and also avoided ordering anything from Body Shop with 25% off (that was was easier to resist!).
Thanks for the advice about the gradual tanning lotions (using up last year's etc) - I will start using them next once my current body lotion is gone. Might need to get serious with some body scrub first, to get rid of rough knees etc - don't want orange kneecaps! :rotfl:
I am really loving reading everyone's recommendations and WIBA comments. Keep them coming! :T
Bye for now xx0 -
I finished a shower gel (actually a face wash) last night, I’ve been on the dregs for ages, so a relief to finally finish it. I’ll now substitute with a Lush body wash that I’ve only used a little bit from so far a couple of months ago.mineallmine wrote: »I suffer with this, have you exfoliated recently? (I have to say I am still switching between OCM and using up my Eve Lom cleanser so perhaps not the best person to advise)Have you tried sweet almond oil (on its own) for the OCM? It is great stuff.
Thanks for all the advice re. dry skin. I haven’t tried sweet Almond oil yet, but that’s next on my list once I finish the jojoba oil.
I don’t really get breakouts on my face, but I do just under my jawline, and across my d!collet!, so I think I’ll start using jojoba oil only on my face, and the blend where I do get breakouts.
I have a mild facial scrub that I keep in the shower, so I tend to exfoliate roughly every other day, depending on how my skin feels. I did again last night, and used my LE nourishing facemask, which really helped.
However, after waking up this morning with a slightly irritated chin again, I realised the actual cause – stubble rash! :rotfl:
I reckon my skin is objecting to the new man, rather than any new cosmetics, rubbish!
Ah well, maybe having him around will help me use up the moisturising creams quicker :A0 -

WNBA as dont like lotion and the smell did not last at all,put on an hour ago and cant smell it at all:(,might save it for warmer weather and open new BB.
Little sister, after never wearing make up(apparently my fault for leaving home before I could show her want to do:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) has gone for it in a big way buying tons of Clarins red stuff(mega expensive) and had a make over and bought all the products, enough to earn her a free facial!!!
not sure whether to be shocked or impressed!
hair needs a trim but am loathed to go as the demon hairdresser, there is only 1 in the village always chops it far too much and then charges me £16.50 for the privaledge!!!am thinking of having it done on holidya in Portugal as the hotel has a salon and can't be much more.
£16.50!!! wow that is so cheap!! i cant get my hair cut round here for less that £30
went into boots today to get some lunch.
i also picked up a garnier summer body tanner in preperation for baring my legs. it was on offer for about £3 so didnt feel too bad getting it.0 -
I have just finished the horied smeling shampoo that I was trying as a handwash: they was LOTS left, but I just washed down the walls in the stairwell and hall way and the banister with it. Its much easier to deal with in a less confined space. I should have used it more parsimoniously, but its not as if I don't have more ancient shampoo

Lol, what have I started? Everyone's going to have sparkly clean homes that smell of slightly odd girly pampering products!
I do this all the time but generally it's because I forget to take cleaning products upstairs to use. This is a problem because I also have a huge stash of these!Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Its a fantastic relief, I can't tell you how that shampoo was getting me down.
I think I might go and get the crispers out of the fridge for a ''confess all'' to you lot:o0 -

Two very old fridge deoderisers
one bottle of Steiner Oil screen sunprotection for hair - never seen this, DH must have bought it
Gilchrist and Soames factor 15 aloe vera (really oddly this English brand has a dollar sprice sticker on it. That might mean its an in laws, or could be from when dh lived in NYC before we shacked up...or....well, those are the best case scenarios.)
Garnier after sun
the chrles worthington bottle of condtioner to match the stinky shampoo...these are little green squarish bottles....I think long since discontinued!
GreenThings lavender and rose body moisturise
Arnica gel...so that is where he arnica got to!
Banana Boat ultra sunblock
Boots soltan factor 15 spray
an ANCIENT autan lotion...now binned...1990sat least...oh god, times two!

Some cliniquEDD moisturiser....
Avene cleansing gel
Tube of nivea cream...bin I think
Natural collection Japnica hair mask....don't remember this....too old to use? Opinions please
Lavender water spray
baby oil
Neutragena pore refning toner.
An almost empty bottle of flower by kenzo; which probably dates the crisper stash: I had a couple of bottles on launch, but it took a while for it to become popular, when it did I stopped wearing it!0 -
I got my hair cut today from being very long to shoulder length. Hairdresser was chopping away by the time I'd opened my eyes to dare a look. She didn't check if it was even, the layers are very short... so short round the front I almost look like I've got a long fringe. The haircut was the fastest I've ever had even though the shop was fairly quiet
I didn't say anything because I was so annoyed that I would of been unfairly mean/rude. My problem now is having it fixed and not wanting to lose any more length, choosing another hairdresser and being fed up that I still have to wear it tied back  Sorry, rant ovver I just feel so fed up, more since I've washed it tonight. On the upside it was really nice to wash shorter hair and it didn't take ages like normal :T
You should complain, and definitely find another hairdresser! I went to one ages ago who liked to cut off more than I wanted (why !!!!!!?) and I ended up changing. Get some recommendations from friends whose hair you like, or maybe some of the lovely ladies here live in your area and can recommend someone?lostinrates wrote: »This morning I realised it was long overdue to start using sun cream daily for me again.
Not sure where my face one has hidden over winter, but I found a factor fifty baby and toddler one which I think I bought two years ago.
Ooh, that reminds me - I bought a SPF50 sun cream (L'Oreal) for £1 recently, was thinking of using it on my face all summer. Don't want to be getting wrinkles!!! :rotfl:pinkandwhites wrote: »Boots Fresh Best Before Bedtime bath milk - WIBA? No, probably not. I love that stuff! Is it the one with the malted milk smell? I got it as part of a set once and just keep it for sniffing (GORGEOUS smell), although I should use it.
fixx - oo-er, stubble rash!!! :rotfl:
LIR - come on, fess up!
Kaz - I clean the sink, bath etc all the time with handwash/shampoo, usually stuff I don't like very much. It's easier to give it a quick swish with that then go back downstairs for the proper stuff.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
