I've not posted use-ups for a while, so here is a list of the things I've managed to finish in the last few weeks:
- Sainsbury's tea tree conditioner: used for conditioner-only washing. WIBA? Yes, for CO washing it was excellent, although it would be not conditioning enough for my hair if I were washing with shampoo.
- Spa foam bath (travel size): WIBA? Don't believe I could if I wanted to. The smell was refreshing, though. It was part of a set I was given a VERY long time ago, and I've not seen it in the shops. I think it was from Tesco.
- Molton Brown Relaxing Yuan Zhi bathing gel (travel size): WIBA? Not sure. The smell was lovely, but the shower gel was average. Certainly wouldn't pay full price for it!
- Philosophy real purity face wash (sample size): WIBA? Not sure. Quite liked it, have used it on weekends away over a long period of time. I think I prefer other face washes, though.
- Clarins Cleansing Milk with Gentian (sample size): WIBA? No. I do like the smell, but prefer a face wash rather than cleansing milk. Could use it just for make-up removal and wash my face afterwards, but I have other makeup removers that do as good a job for less money.
- No7 Extreme length mascara (GWP size): WIBA? Possibly. It works and doesn't irritate my eyes. However, I have a stash of GWP mascaras to use before I need to buy any (and then I want to try the one from S'drug that has been recommended on this thread).
- Clinique Stay the Day eye shadow (from a GWP): Finally finished the darker colour (spiced mocha), after having finished the lighter colour (angelfood) ages ago. WIBA? Definitely. I like Clinique makeup, and these colours were good. However, I have tons of makeup, so don't need to buy anything more for a long while.
- Chanel Precision Hydramax+ active creme (sachet): As with the other of these sachets I had, I loved it. WIBA? If it's not too expensive. Have loads of other facial moisturisers to use before I need to buy again, though!
- Lancome intense reinforcing anti-wrinkle eye cream (sachet): accidentally used all over my face! WIBA? Probably not. Felt nice on my eyes, but nothing spectacular.
- Lancome men renergy 3D cream (sachet): WIBA? Don't think the bf would change from his Clinique, and I wouldn't buy it for me. Wasn't bad, though.
- Kanebo IB immediate moisture power (sachet): WIBA? Can only get Kanebo in Harrods now, but I love their products! They're very expensive, though. The cream was lovely and smelt divine.
- Chanel precision soothing toner (sample size): used on weekends away over a period of time, and finished now to get it used up! WIBA? Probably yes, it felt nice and smelt lovely.
- Body Shop Satsuma body polish (sample): WIBA? No. Smelt nice, but was not at all scrubby.
- Body Shop Vit E moisture cream (sample): WIBA? Yes, this is definitely on the list of possible purchases for when my stash of moisturisers is finished. It felt nice on my skin, was light but moisturised well, and I liked the subtle scent.
Sorry for such a long post!0 -
Just a quickie to let you know that Timotei is on offer at Tesco for £1 a bottle on both shampoo and conditioner - I needed both (will run out mid week) so a necessary purchase.
Almost finished a shower gel and an eye gel - why won't they run out???!0 -

I know exactly how you feel! I have about 5 things now on their last legs, and I so want to get some new stuff out of my stash now, I am getting bored with them. I think the MoneySaver in me (or maybe its the tight wad!) prevents me from using more than I should just to use them up quicker!! :rotfl:0 -
Finished a packet of floss, nothing else... I have a cleanser on the go that looked empty a month ago, it is eternal and I hate it (even though it is quite nice :rotfl:) I really want to open some new things for a bit of a change, but that would only slow the end of these ones, so I go on with it.
Won one of those Garnier caffeine thingies, but haven't bought anything all week. Sorry for the grumpiness of this post!0 -
I won again but I've been entering every day from all 3 of my email addresses. The wins all came from the same email address and the other accounts didn't win at all. The aren't being generous. The comp ends on April 25th according to the website. I hope they don't extend it because I feel compelled to enter every day and I'm getting really tired of it.
This email thing applies to Ireland only by the way, there are no wrapper codes like in the UK. I bought a multipack of flake bars today so the comp must be having the desired effect on me.
I haven't received any lipstick in the post yet.
I've won one!!!! Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:beer::beer: I'm trying to choose between La La Land and Do Tell... anyone tried either of them? I might go into Boots on Monday and try both to see which one is nicer.Correct, the email thing applies to people entering from Ireland (that's Tara and me and maybe others on here) The code required for Ireland is the barcode which is the same on every pack. The comp ends in Ireland on April 25th.
LOL, couldn't believe that when you first told me, trust the Irish website to make such a daft mistake!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

I also lov the smell of the rosey-minty one in the bg pink bottle....can't remember the name butit is protein too, and a treatment conditioner, though I love it as an ordinary conditioner.
Oh, I love the honey and oatmeal stuff, but can never justify buying it... by the time I realised TK Maxx sell it I had accumulated a massive haircare stash! So once it's finished I'll go and get some.
pinkandwhites wrote: »Yes, that's the one and it does smell gorgeous in the bottle, although sadly the lovely fragrance seems to disappear once it hits the water. Mine was part of a set too and one of the nicer things in the Fresh! range I think.
Right then, I'll leave it in the bottle shall I? :rotfl:pinkandwhites wrote: »I know exactly how you feel! I've *finally* finished a Herbal Essences conditioner (the red one in the big bottle). WIBA: yes, I love it, but it's been discontinued and replaced by those horrible new boring bottles. I wonder which is the new version of that one.So that's another £3.30 into the pot - I probably bought it on BOGOF, but will just put the full value in.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

was in home bargains earlier and they had the old style herbal essenses in there, may be a long shot if you have one nearer to you xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
hi everyone, am still at the very nearly finished stage with quite a few things. but have managed to use last of cheapo disposble razors which were useless. Must confess to buying a sanctuary face mask sachet £1.79 - still my grand total for the year is less than £4 in total which is some sort of miracle. i am enjoying the fact that i am being thrifty - hope this eventually makes a dent on my huge overdraft!trying hard to be debt free by the end of 20100

Thanks, I did actually see them in Poundland one day but resisted buying any as I really need to use up my stash!!! But I am afraid that they will all go and then there really will be none. :eek:Must confess to buying a sanctuary face mask sachet £1.79 - still my grand total for the year is less than £4 in total which is some sort of miracle. i am enjoying the fact that i am being thrifty - hope this eventually makes a dent on my huge overdraft!
Wow. I am humbled.
I need to confess a spend too - an unopened Clarins mini moisturiser in my favourite CS for 10p (!). :rotfl:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Forgive me ladies, for I have sinned.....
Had a trip out with my Mum today and we headed down to the Boots Clearance store, Mum was most impressed! Not so much Sanctuary stuff this time, and practically no No7 skincare in, but still lots of Expert, Botanics and ...... S&G! Masses of it! I spent £9.75 and got:
Botanics Revitalising Shower Gel
S&G iFoam
S&G Greatest Scrub of All
S&G Scrub, Actually
Boots Extracts Rosehip Body Butter
Wash bag and travel bottle set
All of the products are full size - I'd only got one mini and one full sized shower gel in stock and I tear through those so they were OK, Likewise the "Greatest Scrub of all" that I'm using at the moment is the only body scrub I've got in. I do have another body cream to go on to when the nasty peach scented one is done but I'll use the Rosehip one after that - again I tear through body creams. The wash bag and bottle set was £1.75 and is going in the present stash. So yes, there were treats in there but nothing totally impractical. The face scrub is because I've finally found a Boots Expert product I don't really like - the facial scrub I have on the go at the moment. It's a shame because I usualy really like that range, but not this time. I can't see me finishing it to be honest although I might switch to the new one and then go back to the Expert one every now and again just to get a bit further through it.
I also went to the main Boots store as I wanted to get that Nivea Visage eye cream I was so impressed with the sample of......and also some eye makeup remover as I'm now using my last GWP size Clinique Take The Day Off. Got the cream, chose a Botanics eye makeup remover, and got a L'Oreal eye makeup remover for free with the 3 for 2 deal they are doing on facial skincare too. Total spend in there was £9.47 I think, but that was in points. One more confession and that was a Pearl Drops Advanced whitening Toothpolish in the 99p shop - seriously cheap at that price.
One item to check in as used up - an Avon shower gel. It was one of the Senses range - caled Sunset I think - and smelt deliciously orangey. WIBA? - I'd love to, but as is the way of it it's been discontinued! I've asked Mum to let me know if they reintroduce it.
