  • This evenings shower and pamper session used up a shower gel, a exfoliator, toothpaste and footcream! Loving it!

How would it work to buy only one kinda moisturiser and use it for feet, hands and body?
Each day is a new beginning, look at what you have an be grateful for every tiny thing. You don't know when it may be taken away.

busy weekend so no time to catch up last few pages!

finished some espa pink scalp mud sold to me at a spa by a masseuse who swore it would help my psoriasis if I used it on my body,it didn't and did not do much for my hair either WNBA also would not buy the bath mud as looks revolting to bathe in and not much effect on skin,OH loves the free shower gel he got when I bought this v expensive stuff(£54 for 2 items!!!!!!) never again:mad:

I have to confess to another lapse last week!!!!(must have been feeling in a shopping mood!)I had an email from Clarins and 1 thing led to another:rotfl:they had an offer of a free set worth £19 of stuff I use,an offer that is always on where you buy 2 items from a list and get a 3rd free plus free bag,(useful beach bag)a free sample size and free post if you spend £60....so I did

thay package things so beautifully too and also put in an extra free sample so all set for my hols now............volcanic ash permitting:eek::eek::eek:

it is just over 2 weeks to go and will be so annoyed if I can't go as think I will lose a few hundred £s as prepaid things to get cheaper rates that don't allow cancellations and think insurance will claim act of God:(:(:(:(I know I am not the only one and it could be worse being stuck somewhere but I need this holiday for all sorts of reasons.

Personally, it wouldn't work for me as I have horribly dry feet so I need some heavy-duty help there. I think it depends on the 'needs' of the skin on the different parts of your body.

    Morning all!

rosemary54, I hope you do get away on hols xoxo

debidoodle, you are in sooo much trouble!!!!!! :rotfl:

I have used up a couple of bits:

A sample size Origins Dr Weil mushroom face mask (WIBA: yes!)

A mini Aveda rosemary/mint body wash (WIBA: I loved it but would never pay Aveda prices for a shower gel so no). I 'liberated' it from a swanky hotel along with every other Aveda product in the bathroom and some from the chambermaid's trolley when it was conveniently parked outside the room. :rotfl:

I'll put £1 in the savings jar for both and go to confession. :rotfl:

Morning all, some use ups to report

2 tubes of toothpaste (1 had been bought back by my sister from a trip) WIBA i'd like to think so! lol

1 bottle of Marks & Sparks China Blue bath creme WIBA umm it was nice and creamy but the smell disappeared as soon as it left the bottle and the bubbles weren't top notch either!

1 bottle of John Freida Brilliant Brunette conditioner WIBA yes, i was definately impressed with this, left my hair very glossy and only needed a tiny amount for my long hair (a 50p piece size and my hair is past bra strap length!). usually i need a good dollop on my hand, and this tube has lasted me nearly 2 months! shame the shampoo seems never ending :rotfl:

1 tub of brazil nut body butter from BS WIBA umm yes in the future, still have lots of lotions and potions to use up first, and it smelled of toffee yoghurts so it satisfied my sweet cravings when i started my diet!

1 pack of garnier face wipes WIBA yes i prefer face wipes to cleanser lotion/milks, i feel they are more effective

I'm sure I used up something else over the course of the weekend but i cannae remember what!

Looks very impressive on the bathroom shelves/window sill/side of bath/ inside shower unit but i'm thinking that this bounty will mean it will be ages before i finish anything else up!

Shame the mascara i've chosen to use up isn't as quick to run up - it gives very impressive results but is waterproof and a NIGHTMARE to take off - yesterday i was rubbing away at my eye for 5 mins and i still had some on it this morning grrr!x

    Hi girlies!

How would it work to buy only one kinda moisturiser and use it for feet, hands and body?

I need an intensive product for hands and feet, although don't necessarily use it all the time. Am using a small Sanctuary body butter atm (Mother's day pressie) and using the BS Hemp hand Protector as my heavy duty supplement. I use it on hands and feet, elbows, in fact anywhere that needs a bit of intensive help. It's very economical and very effective. I used a bit on my shins yesterday, as my holiday tan (sorry Rosemary:() looked as though it might think about starting to flake (How Very Dare It!!.....Don't you just hate that, as soon as you start wearing proper clothes again!!) So I think I could get away with 2 products for body-moisturising in the unlikely event of not having a mini-stash to source from.

Rosemary, do hope the situation stabilises in time for your hols. There are some helpful and well-informed peeps posting on the holiday board re cancellations etc. Sure it'll be settled by then . Some wit on the holiday board commented along the lines of ......" Dear Iceland, You misheard....we want our CASH BACK, not your ASH BACK!! Yours truly the UK" :)

On another note, if your inbox is bombarded with irresistible beauty offers, how about taking the bold step to "unsubscribe". What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over etc etc etc!!

My use-ups this weekend are the L'Oreal large shampoo and conditioner . Don't know what to use next now actually!! Trying to use up some of the unloved random body lotions. They definitely feel a bit better to use now the weather's warmer, not wildly effective though.

    Have a great day y'all!!

    I've been Money Tipped!
I can't find my face suncream. I know I have loads let in the bottle I just do not know where it is.

Also, skin is so good atm I've not worn any makeup all weekend, or today. Its this maintaining routines, its had such a difference.

I'm not going to PYNM because I've got to do it later in the week...we are having guests for the whole weekend. Also because I'll b doing lots of cooking would rather not be taking varnish on and off all week...I will though, have a nail shape and hand cream session.

Two useups to report from the weekend:
Finished my Tony & Guy platinum blonde shampoo that I mentioned previously :(. WIBA? Yes – might have to! I didn’t take this on my last week long holiday, and my hair was starting to look brassy again by the time in got back. One wash with this and it was perfect. It doesn’t lather up as nicely as I’d like, but it’s so good for my hair colour. I have a lot of other shampoos to use up (mostly blonde ones), and have just started a massive bottle of TIGI Dumb Blonde shampoo (matches the conditioner I’ve just finished), so I’m hoping it’ll be ok, or I’ll need to spend!
Also finished a foundation sample – Maybelline Matte Mousse – WIBA? No – it was quite good, lasted well, but not as good as my normal one, and didn’t quite have the coverage I like. I am enjoying trying new foundations though.

Couple of things I have recently learned as well – separate eye creams do work! After finishing a Clarins sample one, I tried just using my normal moisturiser for a few days to see what happened, and so many lines appeared, it was terrifying! So I dug out a simple one from the stash, and there was a very quick noticeable improvement, phew! :j

Also – I love OCM! I’m getting more and more impressed by it. It’s so relaxing to massage in when I have time, and quite convenient just to quickly rub over my face and wash off when I’m in a rush. And I discovered over the weekend that after a lot of drinking, and not being very good at taking off makeup at night (oops! :o), that OCM made my skin quickly look great again the next day, when I used to look ashy and haggard no matter how many expensive products I used. Good stuff. :T

    .

mmmmmmm I am not completely weak willed:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:have managed to ignore most emails but the Clarins one was v good and I only bought stuff I use daily so don't feel too bad, just followed on quickly from other stuff I bought last week:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

there have been some funny comments and also some people who moan at loss of holiday when at least they are safe at home.I am just amazed the various governments have been so slow at doing anything given that I was saying to OH it would be days if not weeks before flights allowed. At least I found out today that even though I have paid for car hire on a pay first no cancel plan I will be able to get a refund with no fees taken :)the car park site has no info but as that is a relatively small amount not too bad.
I guess the UK tourist board will be happy as people stay home, every cloud......

the funniest interview I saw was a young man who tried to get a ferry and was told no foot passengers but he could travel if he had a bike.He bought a wreck ,a ladies bike but the ferry insisted he biked onboard and off balencing his suit case on the bike:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:talk about jobsworth!

Heard similar with 2 guys who had clicked on that they could book as bike passengers but not foot passengers and told the jobsworth that unfortunately they had just "lost" their bikes!!
