Hi ladies - hope you all had a fab weekend. I had a lovely time at the ball - felt very glam after my benefits make up thing, and I only bought the lippy that the girl used (which I DEFINATELY dont have!!) so I was quite proud of myself !!
Just off for a bath now - need to clean my hair really thoroughly, I had so much product on it to hold the curls in place, and I couldnt face taking them all out at 2am Saturday(!),so left them in to go to the point to point yesterday - so the clips and pins only came out last night... was stiff as anything when I brushed it through this morning - Ive spent the day looking like Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen.... !!!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
Hi All,
I have loved reading this thread over the last few days so if its ok with you can i join u in this challenge!
I dont have quite as vast a stash as some of you, but still think i could benefit from using up before buying more!
And, it seems that i have managed a little of that so far this month: 1 x sunsilk shampoo, 1 x sunsilk conditioner, 1 x radox shower gel, 1x lush soap bar.
Soon to be finished is a clean an clear blackhead remover, johnsons and johnsons face wash, elizabeth arden body scrub, huge tub of cocoa butter moisturiser... can't wait to finish these to start some new ones!
any ideas on poor skin tone without 3 hours a day work? i constantly go from boiling to cold environments (in and out old peoples homes) nd as a consequence my skin is all blotchy and sore - currently home to a huge zit too - ideas of anything to help welcome! Each day is a new beginning, look at what you have an be grateful for every tiny thing. You don't know when it may be taken away.0 -
Has anyone got thick curly hair and can recommend a shampoo for me? I use trevor sorbie shampoo atm but wondered if there was anything cheaper?
I'm the same with thick naturaaly curly, thou keep it short, otherwise look like a poodle!!
Might not be cheaper, but highly recommend Body Shop Banana Shampoo and the matching conditioner, you only need a fraction, and the conditioner that gd just use once a week,
Treseme - like that, suits my hair, again I find just use a little. Usually on offer at Home Bargains if your near one, they tend to do the conditioner free in a branded pack.
I haven't used it for a couple of yrs, (holiday treat), Paul Mitchell conditioner, leave in one, just used amount size 5p, but it was fab, thou slightly expensive.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

The more the merrier - welcome aboard!
I would think that your skin's best defence would be a really good moisturiser as a first port of call - first work out your skin type then select a moisturiser to suit. Maybe try a serum underneath it too?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I've started a peppermint foot lotion as my next moisturiser....... why? Cause it's really runny- too runny for feet. It doesn't smell of peppermint either, really manly smell. Don't think it'll last long.
Bit of a bleurk moment earlier. I was in the bath and DD was in her bedroom next door. I suddenly heard this panicked "Daddy!!!!!!!" I'd just put my warming olay all over my face and neck and couldn't even open my eyes so I'm thinking "Oh carp, Daddy can't hear you"..... I called out and she still sounded upset so I was frantically wiping the stuff out of my eyes, scraped it off my face and then dealt with her..... (banged her back on the bottom of the bed)
An hour later I had an itchy neck, ewwwww its flaky, hang on, that's not skin. But I've had a bath. *sound of penny dropping* Ah, can't have cleaned it off my neck properly. Feels eurgh now
So, 20 hours worked this weekend, tonnes of alcohol gel used so my hands are really dry and shiny so need to moisturise +++++++++ every time I'm near some.
Hope to use up more things this week, catch you later ladies.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

had a nice weekend despite ongoing argument with lastmin.com over a "top secret" room that was supposed to be a 4* bargain but was more like a very cheap B&B,awful room (very poor toiletries too 1 soap and 1 small shower gel)dreadful bed and lumpy pillows,OH said after(why after!!)he almost asked for another room as the door stuck badly and when room service came to say they would give us a morning call(they didn't) he could not open it and talked through the door!!
went for walk along river Avon on sat and another round a N.T place sun so legs and hips aching today0 -
Morning, finished a Boots toothpaste and a box of lemon tea. Didn't paint my nails this morning, since I did it yesterday. Everything else keeps on being everlasting!0

I used up the Radox handwash in the bathroom yesterday and have refilled it with an Avon mango shower gel that I don't really like the smell of (although it will be fine for handwash I'm sure).
Mum2One - your list looks a bit like mine, don't know about no buying toiletries for April, you and me both could say no buying toiletries for 2010!I've also got sensitive skin and I'm using Body Shop Cucumber cleaning lotion and toner at the moment and am really liking it. I did go a bit mad with Body Shop online orders so I'm glad that what I bought is actually getting used!
EssexHebridean - it was fab to get so many reviews in one post! Thank you for that and yes, I am with you well and truly on the Dove Cream Oil Bodywash - yuck - I gave mine away after one try to a friend of mine who loves all things Dove :T
Seductivesmile - you will enjoy being here I'm sure - I am fairly new here too and just love reading all the reviews and when I see how others are keeping on the straight and narrow with their spending, it helps me so much. I agree with the advice about finding a good moisturiser and oh if you use facial wipes, stop using them, as I have heard that they are way too harsh for most people's skin (even the so called gentle ones).
And now a quick question .... do you think its ok to use gradual tanning body lotions that were opened last year? I have got a few half opened bottles to use up but am worried about getting streaky orangey results as they were opened last summer. I've got a Dove one, a Nivea one and a Nuxe one for the face.
Bye for now
