Afternoon ladies what a lovely sunny day here.

Just back from a free cinema screening of Dear John very enjoyable, also called into Morrisons as we needed toothpaste and there is a glitch at the moment on Colgate Max White £2.04 a tube buy 2 for £3.00. The glitch works out at buy 2 for £1.04 so I bought 12 tubes for £6.48 very :money:.

    Nothing else used up.

judgejaq thanks for the review I am going to ring Diptyque and see if they will send me out a sample to try.

    Hi everyone :)

I'm sure I saw a post that mentions Tesco's own self tan and wondered if I saw it right? Also anyone got an average price for it or even the colour of the bottle so I know what I'm looking for please :o

Haven't used anything or bought anything but I am getting through my M&S body butter fairly quickly. :T

Hi everyone - back from holidays and I see you're all still doing well on this - I probably won't have the chance to catch up on the thread properly mind you - as always there is too much to go through!

I carried out my plan of taking lots of sachets with me to use up and can report back the following:

Nivea Visage "Young" range - I had the wash off cleanser, exfoliating scrub and the moisturiser. The cleanser felt too harsh for me, and made my skin sting a little, the scrub was OK, but nothing more and similiarly the moisturiser was alright. WIBA? No, I don't think I would.

Nivea Visage "Natural Beauty" - I only had one lot of these sachets - there was an exfoliating scrub, and moisturiser and an eye cream. The scrub was lovely - just scrubby enough for the face and worked as a cleanser as well. The moisturiser I didn't even use the whole sachet - it was one of those with a shimmer in it and I hate that look. The eye cream was a bit of a revelation - I don't normally get on with them but I loved this one. WIBA? - the scrub, possibly. The moisturiser, definitely not, and the eye cream, yes - I shall be looking out for it.

No.7 Advanced Hydration day and night creams - not bad, and a little clearly goes a long way as the sachets I opened first each lasted about 4 days! I used up one of the night ones in one hit last night as I used it as a tissue-off cleanser and then the last bit as a moisturiser. WIBA? - as I said, not bad, but probably not good enough to convince me to part with my hard-earned. I bought about ten double sachets at the clearance store a while back so I have plenty more to take for long weekends away, etc.

OK - this one is going to upset a few...... S&G Flakeaway - a mini sized pot of this, which as you might remember I was actively looking forward to trying as so many people had raved about it. It goes to show that what one likes, another doesn't, as I loathed the stuff I'm afraid! The smell was lovely, but I found it difficult to rinse off - and didn't like the way it left a slight film on my skin. WIBA? - certainly not!

No.7 Younger Longer Hand Cream - Not sure they still make this? The current ones seem to be around £10 a tube and frankly I've used better. It was OK, at this time of year was adequate, but I wouldn't think it would be hardcore enough to keep my (prone to dryness) hands in shape during the really cold weather. WIBA? - no, I'm afraid not. Good, but not good enough for its price.

Dove Cream Oil bodywash "Sleek Satin" - I managed to finish it, but it was through grim determination! Hated the smell, it didn't lather much (and in the soft water up there that's a feat to be reckoned with!) and it really wasn't any sort of pleasure to use - WIBA? - not a chance!

Other stuff used up: Various shampoo and conditioner samples, of which my favourite was probably Sunsilk (I'd not used it for years and forgot how nice it smelt!), a mini Theramed toothpaste (this is one of my standard choices for taking away with me and I will undoubtely repurchase when needed). A John Frieda Weatherworks cream thing - leave in stuff which is meant to protect your hair from frizz-causing conditions - seemed to work OK but I'm happy enough with the stuff I've got normally. Various body moisturisers - the Neutrogena ones stand out as being pretty good.

One thing not actually used up (but this is to its credit) is a sample sized Molton Brown shower gel. It's fragrance is called "Suma Ginseng" and it is slightly aftershave-y in scent, in fact it also got used as a bubble bath for OH one night! I probably used it for four showers (I had a couple of others with me) and that bath and the bottle is only about half empty. (it was only a 30ml bottle!) - really impressed with it, and I have decided that I will buy their shower stuff again as a treat in due course. :D

Hope everyone is fighting fit and well? Any news I've missed out on? Oh - my "give up buying toiletries for lent" thing only slipped up on the Tesco shampoo glitch in the end, I didn't buy anything else and still haven't!

Finished a pack of No7 facewipes today and ....threw out the S&G body butter with about1/3rd of the pot left  it smelled very odd & had changed texture: I think sitting in the sun for the last few days cooked it :o

I shall now start the Boots nectarine body butter as it is a smaller tub (& I shall keep it in the drawer, in the shade :p) & dig out last year's tinting moisturiser.

Is this the orange coloured gel?

If it is, I believe it is discontinued.

If you do find a stock of it, please let me know because I loved it!!!

Oops... just been pondering in the bath (as you do) and it was the Rejuvinating Arctic Birch that I loved (orange coloured gel) not the Suma Ginseng.

    Thanks anyway!!

Arctic Birch was one of my hubby's favourite, he also likes the black pepper.
