And thank you for not saying "do you feel better for it"?????
So many people say that to me..........
I wonder if they think I might say "no, I do NOT feel better being 15 stone lighter, I feel worse";);)
:rotfl:Perhaps they are jealous! Or don't have any weight issues!I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
lostinrates wrote: »How effective is shampoo as a handwash? Thinking of refilling he handwash container with some of the shampoo stash...........
I have done this quite a few times now, usually with shampoo I don't like on my hair or I am just wanting to finish up to move onto something new. It seems to get used up much quicker as handwash and no one has complained and it seems ok to me. First time I did it my handwash had just finished I couldn't be bothered to look for a new one and just decanted in some shampoo and it went from there.0 -
I'm sorry for your loss debidoodle.
Well done fozzie on losing so much weight.:T
I've had to go back to using the nivea creme. My skin has been spottier than usual and is so dry it's been peeling since i started using the simple moisturiser. I still feel the nivea is too rich but i don't know what to try now.:( My skin's a great combination of sensitive, dry and spotty. I would have though i'd have grown out of spots by now. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.
Today i bought
Toothbrushes 50p
Shower gel Tesco wake me up rasberry & something, this smells delicious £1
Tesco roll on deodrant 65p
Everything i bought is going to be needed soon. I haven't used anything else up yet but i'm working on it.0 -
hi hollyh my skin gets a bit sensitive, dry and oily at times, and it can be all 3 on my face at the same time! Eucerin do a good cream which really nourishes the dry bits without making it too greasy, and i also find Benefit's 'Do It daily' cream is a good one too! At night sometimes I use Johnson's DreamySkin bodycreme is nice on the face but not too greasy. It helps sometimes to mix them up, by using for a couple of days and switching. I know this won't work for everyone but it might help you?x0

Did anyone listen to radio 2 this afternoon? About 2.30 they were discussing how many people buy too much stuff. It was quite interesting but I only managed to catch a couple of minutes so I don't know how long it went on for.
Thanks for the tip about the vera wang stuff, I thought so too.
Not managed to use anything up yet. Hi everyone
debi I'm very sorry for your loss
Not used anything up or bought anyting either. Instead of the usual body butter I decided to use some baby oil. It's been on the rack in the bathroom for a long while and probably been in the sun a bit too long. It didn't smell quite right but I still used it, only half a bottle left so I might finish it up befor I use my body butter again.
holly I had the same problem but in the opposite direction. I tried Boots vitE and my skin hated it, brought me out in really bad spots!! I had to switch back to Simple and it's slowly clearing up again... although it'll never be right. Even using Simple I get a patch of dry skin on my cheek every morning  I can't really offer any advice just sympathy, I'm just sticking to what I know even though it's not perfect. I hope you find what suits you... theres soooo much out there to try I just wouldn't know were to start.Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -
Evening ladies, thanks for the supportive messages. It's only a miniscule dent in the stash, but it's progress nonetheless.
Sorry to hear about the death of your brother-in-law debidoodle, my thoughts are with you and your family.I finally opened the horrifically expensive Guerlain cream.......pinkandwhites wrote: »I got a bit fed up yesterday as I tried yet again to write down everything that I've got in my stash but it got too overwhelming. I've got 61 opened products alone, and that's just toiletries not hair products or facial skin care or makeup. I knew one of my downfalls was shower gels but I counted 38 of these (36 unopened), and there are still more in gift sets in another wardrobe that I haven't got to yet.fozziebeartoo wrote: »I've been loving this thread but I'm too scared to search the cupboard under the stairs where my unopened stash is hidden!........And I dare not list how much unopened stuff I have.........is there ANY hope for me?????;)
Don't despair, a few of us here have very large stashes. I can't bring myself to list everything I have - it's just too overwhelming and the ladies who have done it so far have been very brave. Personally, my main vice is shower gel, nail polish and hand cream. Just be aware that you are not alone and we all understand how it feels. However, the fact that both of you have found your way to this thread is proof enough that you want to change. Just take small steps and it will get easier.
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
Babafette, yes, that's the one - completely forgot I hadn't mentioned which one it was.0
