I think if you really do need to get back to work Luc, take the first one and start work. If you get the other, just tell your current employers that you don't feel it's the right position for you, and you want to move on sooner rather than later, to be fair to all parties.

If you get the second job, they are probably expecting you to have to work a notice period anyway, so you can give them a full month's notice.

Parazone wipes are they what you wipe the toilet with before you sit....I thought you meant the shiny stuff you used to get given at school to wipe yer bum!

Yes - I hate 'hovering' over the seat, but can't bear sitting on a loo unless I know it's clean, so I always carry them if I'm going somewhere like that.

Think the shiny loo roll was Izal?

Whose idea was that stuff anyway??? :rotfl:

I never knew if you were supposed to crinkle it up to get some 'texture' or if you were supposed to fashion some sort of a scraper:rotfl:

Right Sammy, I'm an old hand at this festival camping lark.

Firstly - don't take heavy stuff cos you've got to carry it ages. Try and get a wheely thing for the packs of beer.

    My essential kit:

    Babywipes
Rain poncho (£1 for two in Asda, loads cheaper than buying them there)
    Suncream
    Umbrella
Spare clothes - but don't take loads, you wont wear them. A thick jumper is essential as it gets really cold at night.
Good thick sleeping bag, possibly an extra blanket.
Spare tent pegs (they're about £2 a set).
Plenty of money and somewhere safe to keep it, make sure you sleep with your purse/bag/valuables inside your sleeping bag with you.

    For cooking:

You need to check what type of stove they'll allow, most festivals have banned the gas ones and only allow trangia type ones. I've got one you can borrow if you can't find one, they're quite expensive to buy. Take old pans cos the bottoms will get burnt. Don't forget washing up liquid and a cloth!

Food wise, you can take tins to heat up but they're heavy and as you might have to carry them a couple of miles it's not really a good idea.

The best food is stuff you just add hot water to - so the packets of flavoured couscous, pot noodle type things (Asda tend to have good offers on throughout festival season), things like pasta with stir in sauce. Remember you're not allowed glass on the campsite so put everything in tupperware.

If you're like me, an absolute essential will be a box of the instant cappucino/latte's for first thing on a morning! Again, just add hot water.

For the first night it's good to take one of the disposable barbeques and have burgers or sausages, and then leftover sausage butties in the morning.

The folding camping chairs are ace, you wont be watching bands all the time and it's fab to sit and chat to people around you on a morning/late at night.

Earplugs if you want any hope of getting some sleep!

At Glastonbury you're allowed to take alcohol into the Arena, which is fab and not allowed at most fests.

Make sure you don't get sunstroke - that really ruins a festival.

If I think of anything else I'll let you know!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

just donated £10 to my brother for this marathon. It's an overnight one around Manchester and he says in the bit about why I am doing this he says "Someone challenged me to a marathon - I thought they meant a chocolate bar, not a long bloody walk!" :rotfl:

Blimey.......this weather is weird.......cars are covered in hail in just a couple of minutes !!

    Cider or lager -not fussy!

Oh, something else - a mini sewing kit! Sounds daft, but I was camping with people once and the tent pole broke, the only way to get it through was to use a piece of cotton and pull it through.

I disagree with Elfen though (sorry), a lock on your tent makes people think you've got something worth stealing so they'll just cut through the sides. If you keep your valuables on you, and leave most of you booze in the car and just go back every day then even if someone goes through the tent they wont get anything you can't live without.

Wine boxes are good for alcohol without glass, and cans.
