Will read back later but need to vent!!!
I have just had a call from an agent about another position which would suit me MUCH better (tax manager), is about £10k more basic, plus bonus, plus car allowance (what happens with that if you don't drive btw?) but as the process is just starting is at least a couple of weeks from concluding.
What if I get offered the financial accountant job (which I think I would essentially be accepting to be earning, interesting proposition as it is) - do I take it and ditch them if I get the tax manager job (which seems a tad sneaky to me:() or do I try and hold them off a bit (read paper work etc) until I see if I even get an interview... or do I turn them down and keep my fingers crossed (seems a bit scary:eek:)
Flipping job opportunities are like buses:mad::rotfl:
It means you have options and can look at what's best for you, you're in demand babe!!!! :T
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Bunny and Luc, it just shows again the power of DFW positive thinking karma!
I'm back from town. Did a couple of chapters of my economics book, bored stiff cos it's still repeating what I did at A level. Then bought a couple of stationery bits I need for it - a bendy curvy thing for drawing graphs and a couple of notebooks for equations and diagrams for when it comes to revision - get me being so organised! And I talked myself out of going to Hotel Chocolat as planned, so I'm feeling very virtuous!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

If you are offered the first, ask for a week to make your decision. Contact the Agent for the second and tell them how interested you are in their position but you will need an early decision, telling them why. If they wont play ball, then you still have the first Option.:D stay wonky

That's kind of what I thought but the interviews for new one not until 19th April apparently... aaaaaaaaaargh - why can't it be easy?!!!!
Second one is a huuuuuuuuuuuge multinational in wine and spirits industry, first an opportunity with a smaller JV backed by 2 huuuuuuuuuuuuge multinationals in call centre/motor industries....26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Pepe I emailed you back again did you get it..
Good advice....depends really on how badly you want either job. Are you taking first job cos nothing else is on offer, is there enough to stimulate you, prospects going forward. And you still get a car allowance if you can't drive.
You are a good prospect but only you can weigh up the risks of turning one down in case the other one comes up good.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
