Luc, is the car allowance just a perk or is it essential to the job? If so, would that rule you out?

Dont forget that you are the most important part of your negotiations. If the second job continues to be as attractive but the process could take a month or two, why not accept one and then bail if the other is eventually offered?

did your last firm put YOU first?

Not essential no. I guess if I get the first I will follow up on the second and if I get offered it make a decision then:cool:

For Glasto.....babywipes, babywipes, babywipes. Seriously, they are your friend.

And Parazone wipes for the loos. And loo roll (you can buy ones that don't have a cardboard inner tube so are better for packing.

Anyone know about Glastonbury/camping.... I have never been camping in my life....I want to be mentally and physically prepared for glasto....anyone got any tips on what/or what not to take....I have a four man tent that I am borrowing and that is it. I don't cook and I am not eating from burger vans so I am limited slightly with food.......

wipes tears from cheeks. I think Glasto is a bit more cosmopolitan than just burger vans...

May sound boring, but Bridgedale socks. The best for walking but not cheap. Thick ones and he'll need some thin ones as an underlayer. However, silk ones are the best for an inner layer.....and silk T-shirts (while not exactly cheap) are brilliant....or Bamboo Fibre ones if you can find them because they are naturally hypo-allergenic and anti-bac too............and cheap to post:D

okey dokey, will check them out :D He's a tall (6ft) and big guy so not sure on t-shirt size. I guess socks would be the biggest shoe size I can find. I would hazard a guess at a size 11 or 12.

The real ale sounds fab, how about a years membership of CAMRA? There are a few online ale shops that do a mixed case of beers that I'm sure he'd love.

talking of beer, the one stop opposite work has yellow stickered all the 4 packs of Magners Light down to £2.24 so I've bought some to try

I've never been camping (and I was in the Guides!), I'd love to try it - I think! I could easily handle being in a camper of some kind, I think I might be scared of all the spiders in a tent though!!

Parazone wipes are they what you wipe the toilet with before you sit....I thought you meant the shiny stuff you used to get given at school to wipe yer bum!

Okay babywipes....check...good call on the loo roll - had already thought about a bum bag with that antiseptic hand wipe attached to it...but a bum bag.......not sure I could cope with it.
