What I do is save wine bottle corks, put them in a large jam jar which i fill with something combustible (from OH's stash) like white spirit or what they call here 'burning alcohol' or anything really that gives a good flame.
Just keep adding corks to the jar as you use them up and top up the liquid from time to time.
Looks like you need to save money on the firelighters to pay for all the wine you drink :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

It took me the best part of 2 evenings to read through it properly, but I noticed a lot of the things that my parents did and instilled into me are on here.
Putting vinegar in the sauce to make it last longer is something I've done for years and not thought twice about it.
I thought it was normal. :rotfl:Aiming to be Debt free by October 20130 -

Well I've made it through the entire thread! Love it!
From reading the thread I can admit to:
- Putting vinegar in the tomato ketchup
- swilling around jars/cans to get the last little bit
- Using sandwich bags nabbed from supermarkets/green grocers
- cutting the ribbon loops out of jumpers/tops and using for crafts
- I'm saving all the lids off of milk/drinks bottles. Not sure what I am going to do with them....I'm sure I'll find a use!
- Using the 'old' sponge from the kitchen in the bathroom.
- Watering down bubble bath/shampoo etc
- Newspaper to clean mirrors/windows
- Reusing chinese takeaway containers
- I don't use a bag in Henry the hoover and it works fine without one.
- I throw my hair (pulled off hairbrush) out the window:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0
