I came on here to ask for advice, not snipey comments
Is claming 40p per mile petrol wrong then?:rotfl:
I think Kelly thought you were going to add the 40p per mile costs onto the petrol costs you've already accounted for which would be wrong. 40p per mile is the maximum you can claim for travelling with your car.
A similar example is the 6p per sheet printing costs. You can't then claim on top for ink/paper, that is expected to be covered by the 6p per sheet.0 -
So you're going to add the 40p per mile to your petrol costs????? If i've read that wrong then i'm sorry.
Snipey comments, seriously.
You can do what whatever you want to whether you're abiding by the rules or not!!!
I will refrain from answering tax qu's on here so not to offend anyone.0 -

Oh right, NOOOOOOOO I meant that I've calculated actual costs for petrol and it comes out at 12p per mile. What I was meaning to say was that if I can claim 40p then I will change my costings to 40p instead of 12p but then isnt that wrong? claiming for something more?
Yeah i can see how I phrased it. I wouldnt add 40p + my costings. That would be wrong.0 -

no, because the other 28p goes towards oil, tyres, service, mot etcI get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
