You do need to build rapport back. For example the conversation might go:
Assistant: is still sunny outside?
You: no it's started to rain now.
Assistant: oh what a shame, my washing is out.
You: oooh it's so annoying when that happens isn't it?
and so on
If you didn't build rapport it might go:
Assistant: is it still sunny outside?
You: No
Assistant: oh what a shame, my washing is out.
You: Oh!
So the assistant assumes you don't want to chat and shuts up, and then gets penalised for not building rapport.
Not saying you did that though - just giving an example of what they might be saying that you did.
I would just clearly state what did and did not happen, including dialogues of any conversations if you can remember.
You are funny chick! If only the assistant made conversation like that! I'm a very chatty person and would have chatted until the store had to shut down, but if the assistant makes no effort, then I can't really lead the conversation. It's not like I was being assessed was it! The only chat I got from them was like an initial greeting, another sentence and then just blank looks.
Anyway, it's done now. As far as I am concerned, the said company can tell me to stop shopping for them, and that's fine by me. I do not lie on reports. I am always honest. If the client doesn't like it, then nothing I can do about it. I thought the whole concept of mystery shopping was to give an accurate report of your findings. Oh well. Thanks anyway peeps.0 -

Ah, but the MoS asked a closed question; the second response is what he gets from a genuine customer.;)0 -

don't see the point of being uncomfortable in stressful situations like exams.
Plus its a lot easier to conceal things in jeans... Those of you that have done these will know what I mean :rotfl:
Must get some washing done quickly, was expecting jeans and a t-shirt to suffice until I re-read the brief
:rotfl:I wore jeans and had great difficulty getting my phone out of the pocket when I was sitting down and not a hope of getting it back in again - I hid it up my sleeve until I went to the loo to put it back in my pocket. :rotfl:0 -

I'm looking for a bit of advice and wondered if there is anyone here in Scotland with the Mystery dining company. I've been with them for ages and look for dines frequently but have still only had 4. They run a loyalty system where, the more dines you do/better quality reports, the nearer to the top of the list you go to be allocated dines. I was just wondering if there aren't many dines in Scotland or if there is a specific day they go 'live'? I'm not looking for hundreds of free meals, but would just like to get up a couple of levels so I had one or two a month.
Thanks for any help:T0 -
