That's what worries me, mostly because it is bound to lead to some sort of upheaval, maybe across the entire industry - more than just having to provide proof of ID/NI number, to register. If conventional MSing and MSers are put into disrepute, we could see a serious reduction in general work available: clients could go only for recorded or videoed visits, or move over to (recorded) exit interviews, etc.
Change is inevitable...happens all the time in business. Seen many a change over the years.
Many clients are already conducting their own evaluations via the internet, text using regular shoppers.
Personally I don't think anyone has to worry if they have integrity and can move with the times.
I have sympaphy for the agencies as it calls into their judgement and recruiting processes more than the honest folk in the field. I think they will have to instigate better criteria for recruitment than they have recently. It's all too easy now and the flaws are obviously beginning to show.
You have to be adaptable and think on your feet for Mystery Shopping so it will just be another step. I shal plod on in my size 4's regardless as always...until I get too old but luckily some do want us till we are 80!:rotfl:0 -
Have GYP stopped the 'Corner Shops' and the 'Seaside Petrol' as I have not seen any for months, only Burgers and Chickens !.
I suspect they may be doing the same with the corner shops as I got one of them as bait too last month.0 -
I didn't think they had those details, hence why they send cash?
Can't see anything in my profile regarding bank details
They only pay the speshul ones by BACS :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I've had to send an email to RE this morning. My Partner took a few bites out of the pizza yesterday before I got to take a photo. Thought I'd rather send an email asking if they will accept if before I slave over the report!
Anyone have a similar experience and can tell me what the result was?0 -

Do you get paid by BACS because you can't open the envelopes due to the straight jacket0 -
Hi. Can I just confirm something regarding a tax issue?
I use my car for MS and its due its MOT tomorrow, can I claim the cost of the MOT? and any repairs? also new tyres?
I think I can but just wanted to check!
Also the car receipts all go together, so is it okay to photocopy the originals and save them for the tax man, or do I need originals?0 -

HMRC allow you to claim up to 40p per mile against tax and this encompases petrol, service, mot , repairs road fund and insurance. AFAIK you cannot claim any extra.0 -

Please tell me you're joking..... seriously of course you cant, UNLESS the only time you use the vehicle is for MS purposes. You can claim tax relief on the mileage you do for MS 40p per mile for the 1st 10000 miles (but its tax relief not the entire 40p). The tax relief covers everything, so fuel, upkeep and general wear and tear.0 -
Thank you. I wasnt going to claim all the costs, only a proportion. I sometimes need the car to do MS work.
At present I have been calculating petrol at cost and not 40p per mile. If the 40p includes all the above maintenance then I will recalculate my costings and add it on.0 -

I received a nice envelope this morning for supermarket ordered – in job done last month, but I have not been reimbursed the delivery charge yet. Has anyone got the charge refunded? I followed the required procedures sent by the end of last month by ABAi, but to no avail!!
