Not got my notes to hand, but I seem to think when I did some a couple of months back, they specified that if the item was in stock but not on promotion, it was to be marked as "item not stocked" - as the promotion itself is not stocked.0 -
Oops, thought I'd pm'd someone there. Sorry for mentioning clients. New to this. I'm gonna remove it just next!!! Sorry!!!!!!0

My notes are in the office but I am sure that is what they say to do (which I found a bit weird, I would have expected a not on promotion option)0 -
If you have supermarket jobs booked on tns for this coming wave you need to open your workpack/s now!0

Sorry for not replying sooner. Dozed off on the couch last night.
In stock - when the promotion/offer listed is available.
out of stock - they sell the item but it isnt on offer or offer is sold out.
n/a - they dont sell the item.
Some of the shops I did yesterday had one of the items available in a different offer. I marked that as out of stock. It wasnt the offer listed. I found that a lot of the shops that I did didnt sell quite a few of the items listed. Or not in the sizes mentioned.
For newbies to the egg shops... look out for the red promotion labels. Makes it easier to spot your items. IF they're on offer.0 -

sorry
I reported that BARE had lost the contract back in March
Good news:
I do know who has picked up the contract so the flights will continue :T
BAD news:
If you have not already been notified then unfortunately you are not going to be in the first wave of jobs, sorry:o
The company want to keep a low profile at the minute as per the reason above by pinkprincess. They are initially keeping the pool of assessors to a minimum.
This may or may not continue for the foreseeable future so my advice to wannabe flyers is:
1 Keep up good relations with the companies listed on the first page.
2 Show yourselves to be reliable, dependable and flexible.
Who knows they may increase the pool of assessors for this assignment later on.
BTW
Do not PM me asking who the company isbut you can rest assured it's NOT Retail Eyes (Thank heavens )

I am now getting totally confused with this TNS job. On my briefing notes it says I must visit 3 specific counters, it then lists 9 other services the shop provides, petrol, toilets etc. It then mentions meat , veg and other sections. Do I just check my 3 counters. or the other 9 services or general meat and veg or do I do them all?0

I have only ever done one TNS job and that was 6 months ago, but I think I'm right in saying you just check the 3 sections. I'm sure someone a lot more experienced than me will come and help you!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0

I think that the only things that varies from wave to wave on the TNS s/markets are the specific EXTRA counters that you have to ask daft questions at ie it might be fish/hot chicken/deli/meat counters etc. Usually its about 3 of these. You always have to check the bakery shelves, veg, customer services, pre packed meat , photography , toilets, newspapers etc ie all around the store.
It will tell you on your front page which of the general counters your shop has - and in the briefing notes it specifies which of the special EXTRA sections you must assess and it will tell you exactly what daft question you must ask.
Once you have done one it will all become much clearer - its not nearly as bad as it looks at first sight.ELITE 5:2
