I am now getting totally confused with this TNS job. On my briefing notes it says I must visit 3 specific counters, it then lists 9 other services the shop provides, petrol, toilets etc. It then mentions meat , veg and other sections. Do I just check my 3 counters. or the other 9 services or general meat and veg or do I do them all?

They do seem daunting at first but after a couple they are a breeze!

The best advice I can give is probably what we all did to start with - do everything ! Treat it as a training exercise then you won't leave anything important out and guarantee being paid! You will also know what to expect next time.

If you don't want to feel silly in the petrol station you can always buy some milk....my usual comment is run out at work and no time to battle main checkouts. Saying it's for work means you justify the receipt too.

Just had a look at my last job for this. Check your briefing for what rotation you're doing. A, B or C. Do that rotation. Ignore the other rotations.

The other sections on the questionnaire get done, IF your store has them. Again check the briefing. Though my local has clothing, it says on the briefing not to do it as it is unstaffed. Most of these sections are straight forward checks on products. Somtimes there is a query involved.

If you visit a dept that is unstaffed then answer it as that. I have spent time looking for staff which just made the visit and the questionnaire longer than it needed to be.

My last visit I answered 67 questions. A lot less than it first looks like. It was quite a straightforward visit. The questionnaire makes it look more complicated than it is. My main complaint with these visits is sitting for 10-20 minutes in the cafe with a drink I dont want.

Just to update that the delivery charge has been refunded to my credit card account on the same day that I called them although they said it would take a few days. So if you don't get it refund in the store, call the 'Direct' service.

I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who had to read that twice!

Might try the bottle of water. Thanks.

The reimbursement for this part just covers a drink. I feel the time sitting drinking it, is just wasted time with no gain. Would prefer it if the cafe was a completely separate visit with a proper fee and reimbursement. Not likely to happen though.
