If anyone did the retailer calls for helion check your assignments box. I completed mine yesterday but this morning they were back in my inbox with the 'Postcode used' box added (wasn't there originally) I didn't get an email about it. Worth checking to get them submitted.

TNS are showing a supermarket job near me which I am sure was not there yesterday. It shows the dates that it has to be carried out as between 12th April and 18th April. I have tried trying to get the job and typing today's date (18th April) and it keeps saying that I cannot put in a date that has passed. If I put in tomorrow's date it says that date is out of the scope of possible dates!!!!

I can see one like that, so I've emailed them and said I'm going to that location anyway on Tuesday, so I can do it then if they want me to.

    Good evening
Can someone please tell me what video visits entail? Thanks :)

Haven't been on the forum for a while but can't see that anyone's answered this yet. Video visits are where the mystery shopper wears a concealed video camera and mic that records the entire visit. A few mystery shopping agencies recruit video shoppers from their more experienced shoppers and supply them with the kit, but in general you have to buy it yourself. The upside is that it pays so much more than the standard report-only visits.
If it weren't for mystery shopping I would never have discovered the joy of launch control.

Hello: first time post on this board :) I've been MSing for a while with RE, but have now signed up to some other agencies. Anyway I did my first Gyp burger yesterday. They gave me a debit card receipt when I ordered, but I got an email from Gyp this morning saying they needed an itemised receipt :s I've emailed them back saying that that's the only receipt I have but haven't had a reply.. but I'm doing a different burger job tomorrow (same chain), and don't want the same to happen again, in case they refuse to pay me for either- any suggestions? Thanks!

Pay in cash. It always used to say in the instructions that you should only pay cash.

Yeah I think I'll do that. I've just re-read the instructions and the Orientation: neither specify a payment method, or even mention cash or card, so luckily I'm not (in theory) in trouble! Let's wait and see what they say...

You need to ask for a VAT receipt to get the correct one.

This is not the case anymore! Infact they actively encourage you to pay by card so it's not so obvious when you ask for a receipt. However as Becles says, if you ask for a VAT receipt they will know what you mean and give you the correct receipt.

Also worth checking your "my assignments" section to see if it's just been cancelled without telling you. They do sometimes do that, but I don't think they would do that for getting the wrong receipt.

Hello Ive got a RE burger job booked for later in the week. I have not done these before - especially as I am vegetarian. I have read through all the notes and I am told that the one I am to visit has dining areas and toilets. I am asked one question on dining area and that is it. Does this mean I am able to get a take out meal which would be most preferably (I have someone else who can test the burger for me)? Any advice would be good please as Ive got a bit of a drive as its a motorway services.

edit - meant to say the motorway is extra busy at the moment due to everyone getting to the port to get a ferry hence I am a bit concerned it will be packed there and take me a long time.

No, you have to actually eat the burger there. This visit doesn't suit a vegetarian as there is no vegetarian option to order. I wouldn't mess about and take it away as you have to stay in the restaurant for 15 minutes and observe the staff behaviour (floor show). You may very well be checked on CCTV by the manager when the restaurant receives their report. If you don't follow the brief exactly and take the job seriously, GAP will sack you.

Don't mean to sound harsh but that's just the way it is.
