lucky you call them and they will offer you something usually nearby. but hurry up last time i called them I was told there was nothing in my area for last month (I think debthater had just got them all :T). I might just call them myself now and check as not heard anything for weeks as I am about to go to the shopping centre near me which is the only scenarios they have ever mentioned to me.

did everyone have a good weekend? I had to change dates around for a coffee visit and cancel two others that could not be rescheduled as stuck in all day saturday as boiler went wrong and letting agent arranged it without asking me :( bit disappointed especially as turns out because we have had tons of power cuts in the last few days here that the boiler is fine and just reacting to them!

then I had a tech supermarket visit yesterday - ones with the two sections. it was my first one of these and its a local supermarket thats always useless. the items i was supposed to enquiry about are not even out on display and the member of staff refused to recommend anything above £80 even though I kept saying I was interested in some others so that was rubbish. As for the phone shop first time endless queue, second time queued 20 minutes without any joy and popped back at the end and the poor man in front of me with four kids was still waiting and both members of staff had disappeared by them. he must have been so annoyed as he had been there 45 minutes by then! so anyhow i hope my report will count as checked notes and did not say wait a certain amount of time and if not served leave as the other ones I normally do do. I was glad to get home after that. Apart from that had a relaxing weekend creosoting fences with my son and making homemade soup etc. got a retail and coffee visit this afternoon and so far rest of the week just two phone calls and some more coffees so will be trying to get on with the fences and various tidying up. I have about a months jobs to get on with as well as work and uni course starts on the 1st so I could do with a rest!

I really hate these jobs. The last few that I did the sore didnt have the target products in and it seemed a waste of time.Just write it up and send it in.You wont hear any more about it.

Hello: first time post on this board :) I've been MSing for a while with RE, but have now signed up to some other agencies. Anyway I did my first Gyp burger yesterday. They gave me a debit card receipt when I ordered, but I got an email from Gyp this morning saying they needed an itemised receipt :s I've emailed them back saying that that's the only receipt I have but haven't had a reply.. but I'm doing a different burger job tomorrow (same chain), and don't want the same to happen again, in case they refuse to pay me for either- any suggestions? Thanks!

You won't get paid. Gap encourage you to pay by debit card in the knowledge that you will get an unitemised receipt. If they were a good company, this would be to prevent you being identified as a mystery shopper but it is simply a ruse to give them an excuse not to pay you. This is the kind of company they are. To be sure of getting paid, you have to loudly demand an itemised VAT receipt and pay in cash. This, of course, will identify you as the mystery shopper but Gap don't care about that. You will then get special treatment. perhaps a full scale floor show. Make sure you don't find anything wrong because this will be another excuse not to pay you and it is quite likely get you the sack. The whole thing is a farce. A certain person who frequents this forum will tell you are a bad person,a fraudster for playing Gap's game (a not so wise bird) but, if there is a fraudster, it is Gap.

I did one last week and they only had one model of the targetted product in stock which was considerably cheaper than the spend limit, and it was out of stock. I thought it was a waste of time to be honest :o
Here I go again on my own....

Had a response from RE about burger job and take away is fine as is other people being with you. Mine is in services so I only have to check the other things IF they are part of the clients store. So I think it is possible my scenario is a bit different than the other visits so it might be worth everyone double checking.

Not necessarily, they might treat it as a "No receipt" one, and you still get paid for those (Up until a point, I think it's 3 strikes and you're out).
  • I think angel13 said it was an RE burger (not a gyp 1!)
My apologies. I did not read the post properly and just rabbled on and on...:o just assumed it was GAP as it was burgers. I didn't even read who posted it! What an idiot I am. I know Angel13 would have known about GAP burgers.

Not done RE burgers. Dont' do RE at all sorry, can't help.

I'm hoping that is the case too as this has happened to me before. Just wondering though if it is 3 no receipts per client or 3 no receipts across all jobs.
