any reason why i shouldn't use my AOL MAC to transfer to Plusnet?

    As mentioned following your previous post, it's advertised at £11.99 in non-Market 3 areas, £5.99 only applies to Market 3 exchanges. This is made perefectly clear at sign up when you key your phone number and postcode in-the price is displayed.
    The 10GB monthly limit is also clearly stated.
    It appears you are either running substantial torrents, or allowing someone else to do so on your connection if you are going over 10GB in 4 days.

    got my email through saying it's ready. however it is transfer aol to plusnet for my parents and i'm not close to them and the insttructions aren't that clear.

    what do i need to tell my parents to do?
    or does the internet connection jut work straight away from the swap etc.

    or do i need to do other?

    You log into the router interface via your web browser and enter the details there. PlusNet supply a full set up guide (assuming you are using their Thomson router).

    Then the principle is exactly the same. Just log in and change to the Plusnet username and password. Save and exit.

    Password: password or admin
    These are the defaults, obviously if they have been changed you must log in using the newly assigned ones.

    when it came with sky i remember the either username or password was sky.

    question: i can log onto that from home, but what stops other people going into the same http://192.168.1.1
