Not much of an update at the moment, been really busy with other stuff and really rubbish with DFW!

Got child benefit number today so am trying to get thru to tax credits to update my claim. Too busy talking to other people tho, s0ds! Will keep trying.

Had LONG email conversation with council tax people today, I managed to get the email address of a really helpful lady who has sorted EVERYTHING out for me and NSOH for when he moves out. I have to pay £99 on new council tax bill p/m and £50 off arrears for 5 months, NSOH will also pay £50 off arrears too. I have been fiddling with my budget today and as my tax credits aren't going to come through in time (I'm pretty sure of this) I am going to be seriously short this month. There are a couple of options at the moment, ie: not pay the nursery bill until the tax credits come through, or not pay all the rent until they come through. My landlady will understand as NSOH is moving into one of her other houses, so hopefully she wont mind if half of it is 2 weeks late. My last option, which is one I REALLY don't want to use is my Evil Cap 1, which I have just cleared. It would be an emergency if I couldn't eat I suppose. LOL

Agghhh well at least things will settle down after a few months I hope. I can deal with the emotional side of things but everything else is a logistical nightmare!

    Jx

Wow 12 days without an update!!! Scary stuff...have had soooo much going on at home though. Ex is all but moved out, took one of the sofa's this evening, leaving the living room looking strangely empty. Had gotten used to having two in here for a while. Yesterday I took advantage of DB2 being here and took out the PS3, Wii and surround sound. DB2 is clever electronics person, good job he was here too as I managed to mix up the home hub and phone cables and nothing worked...lol

Things a bit strange at home at the moment, for example, I have just done my first shop for me as a single person...DD hardly ever eats at home as she always eats at nursery. I am also coming to the bottom of my washing basket knowing I won't be doing so much washing soon, and ironing, I'll have hardly any ironing!

Well DFW has been rubbish recently. Have had to use my empty CC to pay some bills as TC's haven't come through yet. Grrr! But I am keeping a VERY close eye on the balances so I can pay them off as soon as they come through. Had a frank conversation with friend the other day as she seems to be getting over excitedf about the fact I will be able to go out with her more regularly, I had to explain to her that I will have next to NO money, and any extra money I have will have to go towards saving for big things. I just need a couple of months to settle myself and see what monies I have.

Will update tomorrow with bank and purse info, just wanted to touch base and let everyone know what's going on in josiebabie's world!!

Money in purse: 5p  lol
    Money in bank: £1805.10:eek:

    Bills still to pay: £74.66
    Petrol still needed: £30
    "Left over": £1700.44
    DAYS TIL PAYDAY: 25

So I think I've had a vast overpayment from tax credits, to the tune of about £1600! I will await the award letter to come through the post to see how it's worked out then phone them. I had two payments put into my account, one of £453 (which is about right) and one of about £1600! Not sure about why this second one is in there so am just leaving it there incase they want it back - although it would do really well clearing off the nursery!

Need to get my spreadsheet up to date, will do that this morning as I've just paid some bills, I have also used my CCs for a few bits while I was waiting for my TC's so need to keep a very close eye on them to avoid interest!

My work bonus will be about £659 paid in July's pay packet as I had another good quarter, this means my wages will be approx £1850 next month, which will be needed! Total income next month approx £2627.71 including TC's, money from ex for TV he bought on my Next account and child benefit, will start to allocate that already!

Well here's an interesting update. I phoned tax credits people to see if the over payment was due to me or not...they said it was! So all the money is mine plus a payment of £571 a month from 20th July onwards!
Need to think about where I'm going to allocate it.

Today was very DFW! Today I bought...

    1. Double divan bed and mattress £35
    2. Pine double bed, no mattress £25
    3. Pine chair for DD FOC with other purchases
    ALL FROM SECOND HAND WAREHOUSE
    4. Slumbalux double duvet, half price £8
    5. 2 Cheap pillows £3
    6. 2 Nicer pillows £6
    7. 5 tea towels half price £2.50
    8. Jogging bottoms for me £6
    ALL FROM MATALAN
    9. Spray nozzle for hose £6.99
    10. Flower windmill for DD £1.99
    ALL FROM HOMEBASE
    11. Set of 3 recycling boxes reduced from £19.99 to £16.99
    FROM ARGOS

Feel like I've had bargains all day today!

Now have my family here from North Wales so am chilling watching TV, they don't get TV signal up there so it's a novelty for them!

Thanks Nottobadyet and Kel, the encouragement really helps!

Well it's time I updated properly now, DFW trail has been rubbish this week, I have my family down from north wales and they don't have a lot up there as my dad's partner has cancer so can't work and my dad has a bad back. So I like to treat them when they're down here.

    Money in purse: £9.40
    Money in bank: £539.95

    Bills still to pay: £7.20
    Petrol still needed: £30
    "Left over": £512.15
    DAYS TIL PAYDAY: 18

I will now make my overpayments at the end of the month instead of working them out at the start of the month. I have now been told that I will be getting £572.01 on 20th July. So my total income for next month shall be £2752.01 plus anything I have left over from this month. Sounds like a lot but I have a lot to pay for. Got logs on order, want to pay off lots of CC's but we'll see!

Been camping last night with family, wasn't very DFW but was great fun, spent £24 on campsite for night, £28 in mr t's last night for supplies and £15 on breakfast this morning! LOL
