Right it is time to revive the diary!
Quick update on my situation for any new-comers...I am a single mother (still feels weird saying this) of one beautiful girl who will be 3 on 23rd December. I work full time 8-6.30 in a relatively demanding but great fun job for a premium car manufacturer. I work hard and do get paid well, but I also have a lot of outgoings due to an ex who was overly ambitious with his spending!
So here we are again, back in diary land!
Money in purse: £11.50
Money in bank: £77.91
Bills still to pay: £0
Petrol still needed: £0
"Left over": £89.41
DAYS TIL PAYDAY: 6
So this is me at the moment, not too bad on the western front! I am hoping to carry this over to next month (I do my months from payday to payday, 26th-26th) to help with the budget. On another note, I have done nearly all of my christmas shopping! Just a few more bits to sort and they will be magazine subscriptions from my Mr T's clubcard vouchers. Plus a few more bits for my little sister and brother in North Wales. DD and I are spending christmas with them so I will get them a few presents rather than just the one that I normally would.
Oh! Another present has just arrived in the post
Right I had better get on with some work for now, not that I have a lot to do but might do some surveys instead :rotfl:Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Small spend in homebase - 3 jigsaw blades for £7.49. Wasn't sure if it was a good deal or not until I walked out the door with them and saw a bag of kindling for £7.50!!! Complete rip off and made me feel better as I will use these blades to cut up a hell of a lot of kindling!
DD is potty training at the moment and today we had the first day with no accidents! I am soooo proud of her! :T So hopefully we're on the way to no more nappies (soooo expensive) and not too much extra washing! LOL.
Work busy at the moment, all good fun though. Am doing well on my labour sales and building up a good labour sales bonus for January. This will pay off at least one CC so I am very happy. One big spend coming up now, putting a fence up in the garden. Three panels, three posts and three ground spikes to buy, totalling £102. But DB3 will put up for me, hopefully!:rotfl:
Not worried at all about money at the moment, not stressed about it as it all seems to be working for me. Makes me happy being in such controlNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Quick update, spend day today - spent £17 in Mr T's buying work lunches for the next 2 weeks for me and DB3. I spent £17, he will give me £10 for two weeks to ensure I have his snacks and lunches covered. Works well for both of us as I always have food in the larder at work and he doesn't go over the shop and spend £4 a day on food! Instead he pays £1 a day. Win win situation!
Tonight I have a lovely friend coming over for dinner and a film, she really has made an effort since I have been a single mummy in keeping me company when I am lonely. I also have my mummy coming over as well so we will all watch the film together and eat sticky toffee pudding! (Friend is buying, I am feeding her dinner from stores, lol)
Well it is 5.30pm and I have half an hour left of work so will write a list of things I need to acheive over the weekend. One of which is to look at the snowballer again in great detail. I fell off the wagon a bit and so need to double check everything.
How good is it that I keep receiving letters from creditors about this new interest thing where they have to take the minimum payment to the highest interest bit first!Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
One thing I have certainly noticed recently is how not having to buy nappies is saving me sooooo much money!
Another Christmas present arrived today, bought off ebay with money from Pinecone surveys! I might start wrapping this afternoon, but I have a fair amount to do at home. Need to strip and change the beds. Need to find a mattress protector for madam as we are going to try night time without nappies soon as well.
Also need to get into the shed and cut up some kindling as I have run out in the house and am having to use my precious logs.
Think I'll also need more logs before the winter is out as well as I have used a lot of them already! :eek:Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
Haha funny that I wrote that about the kindling as DM managed to chop the end of her finger off with my axe while chopping kindling! LOL, not that funny, shouldn't be laughing really...silly woman.
I am so bored this afternoon, have done my washing, just one more load to hang in spare room, DD doesn't want to play with me, wants to play on her own so I'm just surfing the net! Which is boring! LOLNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
NSD day today, tomorrow I must must must chop up kindling, change bed sheets, walk to park with DD (as long as weather holds out), make raisin flapjacks and drink lots of water.
Loving X Factor tonight and Cheryl's hairNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -

Not many plans today, ex is coming round to get skis etc out of the loft but don't know what time. Bubbles and I will prob walk down to the shop to get some loo roll, but also for some fresh air!

- Iron minimal work clothes
- Drink lots of water and not tea!
- Checked banking already, no change there
- Washing up
- Dinner from freezer/stores

Just a chilling day for me. Lovely!
