Hm interesting proposal....very good idea! Even if it means I do it myself at least it saves me £4. I religiously take lunch to work but he's not very good. I'm desperate for the day he comes home and tells me he had a NSD!

Well I'm up and at work already, OH has said he's putting £800 in my account today so I can start to allocate that....to my Ikea spending money!!! Not really, must pay the extra off something.

He's really starting to think MSE now, starting to talk more about paying off this and paying off that and getting ourselves straight etc. Just wonder if we'll be together when we start to see the benefit of it!

Not got many jobs in today. Although we are up to full staff again so we can concentrate on invoicing and finishing on going jobs for end of month. Aghh to work in progress! Getting annoyed about purges, got NO opportunities to sell them again. Grr to silly new rules.

Ebay going well, have a fair few watchers now and 3 bids, don't end til Sat eve so not worried about them.

    PS I love my shower

    Money in purse: £1.10
    Money in bank: £344.85
Bills still to pay: Lots! £736.68
Petrol still needed: £0!!!! - See below

It's still not as drastic as it looks cos OH still needs to put £700 in my account, he tried to do £800 today but the voice recognition only heard "A hundred" pounds! D'oh! With Halifax you can only do one faster payment to each payee per day so I have to wait til tomorrow now.

On the fuel front, OH had puncture in his company car today so came in and swapped with me...and filled my car up too! Yay! That's saved me £40, £40 more to spend in Ikea!!!!! :p

On the OH front...silly boy went shopping today and managed to misread TWO "deals" in Mr T's. One was two packs of beer for £16 (the beer he bought wasn't on the deal) and the other was two fairy liquids for something or other, he bought two different bottles at different prices!!! Me and DSD had a good laugh at him for this!!!

Ebay going well, a few more bids now! Oh, and I managed to reclaim my brother £1741 in PPI! Wohoo to me! And I got my other brother £1700 for his write-off car he bought for £500! £1700 seems to be the magic number, when do I get mine?

At work I ended the quarter on £109k for the quarter. Giving me a bonus of £765.87 on 0.7% or £656.46 on 0.6%. This will be paid in April's wage packet and go towards clearing something!

That's enough for tonight I think. DSD is learning over my shoulder about the world of MSE. She's 11 and it's time she learnt :D

    Morning campers!

It's the first day of my week off and I'm up super early. Have already checked my banking etc and it's OK. Have made PAD to egg card to bring the balance down to a multiple of £5. This has become a minor obsession of mine but encourages me to do it!

Gawd can't wait for my new laptop keyboard to arrive. DD has pulled the "o", enter and shift keys off this one and it's very awkward! Got one on ebay for £13 so quite chuffed with that. Should be here today.

So DSD and I are floating around today and doing what we want, waiting to hear about OH's tyre then we can go into town for coffee and cake with my best friend and her two LO's. I can also get my tax which I have forgotten...not a problem, OH has my car! LOL

Just got the rent to pay now and the home contents insurance to come out then the rest of the money will be mine to clear things down! wohoo! Things going OK for the month this month, OH and I were saying the other day that we're getting well under control now. I was so chuffed yesterday when he produced his version of my "blue book". This is the book I write all my direct debits and expenses for the month down in so I can budget. He was proud of himself for doing it too so I really think he's about to have his LBM!

Need to batch cook cookies and cakes today, find the cheapest kitchen unit to replace a butchered one and find the cheapest kitchen paint. I have a jobs list! One more day til Ikea! :o

    Money in purse: £53.86
    Money in bank: £65.29
    Bills still to pay: £19.56
    Petrol still needed: £0! :D

Today started all well and motivated DSD and I blitzed the house. This allowed us to go out all morning doing as we pleased! The laptop keyboard arrived and so I am all happy with that.

DSD and I went into town this morning with the intention of floating about...we met my best friend and her two LO but turns out she was really ill! She was so ill I suggested we took her DD off her to give her chance to rest and so DSD and I went straight on instead of to fabric land (saving pennies!). Although we will buy fabric in Ikea tomorrow so not really!

We then went to B and Q and bought a new base unit for £42. My older brother doesn't drive and so needed to go shopping. I took him shopping, helping him save his own pennies, and he paid for my £5 worth of bits too...very nice of him I thought...then he gave me £50 cash! It was his way of saying thank you for reclaiming his PPI for him, he tried to give me £100 but there was NO WAY I'd take £100 just for giving him an idea and writing a few letters.

So that is my Ikea money for tomorrow, I will NOT spend more than that and I will NOT take a credit card. Although I will take my debit card cos they get a bit funny about cash in there.

We have been v. naughty tonight as DSD and I have been painting the kitchen and OH has been in the pub we ordered a takeaway. We NEVER do this as we live in the sticks and we never normally can convince anyone to come out. OH is paying and he hasn't told me how much so I'm not going to ask! lol

Hi La E, not been on small things today strangely cos I've been really busy. Just sat down!

    Money in purse: £13.65
    Money in bank: £34.42
    Bills still to pay: £7.20
    Petrol still needed: £0! :D

Well today was Ikea day! I didn't spend a lot. Spent £70 in total, on a book case and lots of other bits. Went to the restaurant as well and got dinner reduced to £5.50 from £8.50 from using my family card :)

So finished painting the kitchen, looks so much fresher with a coat of paint. Living room looks great with new book case and a swap around, new everything! Gotta love bank holidays, and it's only Friday! Only problem is, our cottage is old and the walls aren't straight so looks a bit odd in places.

DSD and I had store cupboard meals today for tea, OH is at the pub and DD is asleep upstairs. I am having chilli from the freezer that I made a long time ago with home made chips.

Not a lot MSE today, unless it's money spending expert! Ebay ending tomorrow, got £9 of bits but TONS of watchers so hopefully will be worth it. Got an evening of doing a puzzle with DSD today, looks like a good one so free entertainment!

Hot water has been off most of the day but will need to go back on for a bit to do all the day stuff. Just trying to work out if the brunette bird on the new Next advert is Danni Minogue or not???
