My husband bought a DVD & CD yesterday & the 500 points did show on the the receipt!0
-
I can't get over the fact that they send substitutions for CDs!0
-
Lily Allen ones Tesco substituted cost 20.10 for 3
LA ones I ordered were 13.50 for 3
Tesco pricematched the subs to 13.50 for 3 (i.e reduced by 6.60)
Great but as said no points.
I should have been refunded 13.50 LA cd's & 4.00 KL cd - total 17.50
(the 6.60 being irrelevant now)
Assistant - after horrendous hassle - has DEDUCTED THE 6.60,(scored out and signed) and refunded me £10.70. Which I was too upset and angry to notice till now !!!
So I'm nearly 6 quid down and dunno if she's taken my LEGITIMATE points away !!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Print out your 2 posts and then go back to the store and ask to speak to the manager. Don't get into a slanging match woth him\her just ask them to read the facts.
Also ask them to put some deals through the till in training mode and check the receipt. T&Cs or not they are breaching advertising regulations and the staff are lying about the may issue.
If he says no ask him to call CS on the phone, also don't shout or use any fruitful language or cursing as they will just clam up. No excuses for them at all.
Then demand that the wrongly removed points are put back and then discuss teh missing points. I would say though get your cash back at the least.
Do NOT live up to your name. Change it to "igaveupnowimback"rise above them, you know your better.

Showed posts to duty manager. He said Tesco used to sell cd's through Entertainments section (guess he means Direct) online and that if he was buying music that's the way he would do it ... putting them with groceries had caused confusion. Also said Tesco.com is run by Tesco Finance and is different from 'Tesco'. :exclamati
I said fact remains they DO sell them with groceries and customers' only point of contact is through a store.
He refunded to gift card and said I need to take up missing points issue with Clubcard.
Daughter used to do FMC pricing for Tesco and says points assistant was gonna remove may have been just ordinary points for returned cds, not the legit bonus points I had on the receipt - need wait see.
Also assistant hadn't given me the 'top part' of refund receipt which would have shown which items I returned.
An assistant spotted this and offered to track the transaction but the manager said it would take too long - untrue, daughter was there and knows. He said CS line manager would be informed, but considering he was not entirely truthful himself I doubt it.
PS. Thanks, oneday, tried change username but site doesn't allow it, unless anyone knows how? Cheers. Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

Having tried yesterday & the points not going on receipt & customer service refusing to put them on because they insisted that they would go in May, I went today to another store. This store though only had the yellow 500 pts stickers on the main chart CDs not the bargain chart. So I went back to the store I went to yesterday & thankfully there were different staff at Customer Services. This store still had the yellow stickers showing for all the CDS! Why it differs from store to store, I don't understand other than it shows how inadequate Tesco training is!
I bought 2 CDs from there totalling £7 & went straight to Customer Services to pay for them. The csa said "are these in the 500 points offer" to which I replied yes & he said "the points don't go on now, they will go on at end of May." I explained that this was what I had been told yesterday by their store but explained that this didn't make sense because it had shown on all 3 of my receipts for other CDs during the last week. Plus I said that it was ridiculous to have to wait till the end of May to find out whether the points went on when one of the CDs was a birthday present that I needed to give next week & how could I return that in May if the points didn't show? He then actually agreed with me that it was very odd that it was showing sometimes & not others & understood my point about buying a present & having to wait up to six weeks to see if I actually got the points. Thankfully he added them on manualy for me so very pleased in the end!Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -

Firstly sorry for your unfortunate experience in Tesco.
I had a similar thing with some of the perfume I bought in the offer which gave 500 points for every bottle of perfume. I bought 6 of the perfume on offer at one store and then went to my home store and saw the aftershave of the same name and asked for an exchange. The assistant was lovely and exchanged the 6 for another still on offer. However she did not give me the part of the transaction showing the exchange. I went to the store later that week and saw another perfume I wanted and bought. However they overcharged me and so I got DTD aswell as the points. However the assistant was really rude to me and a few days later I found the original 3000 points from the first transaction had disappeared from my card. I rang Clubcard who told me the store had contacted them and told them I had had a refund and was not entitled to the points. It appears the assistant had made a note of my clubcard number when I got the dtd and had then contacted Clubcard.
It took me 3 visits and numerous visits to the store and a meeting with the manager I eventually had the points put back on only for them to be removed and replaced twice more over the next month.
I found out that the assistant is in charge of Customer Services and is a really old bag. I still shop there but never go to CS if she is there but if I see the manager he always has a chat with me and is really nice.
Also if the points are not put on when you buy something then it is highly unlikely you will get them without a fight. Good luck0 -

Hi, Rose, and thanks others, this is ridiculous. I know the CS deliberately kept the top part - which I didn't know existed at all till daughter and assistant asked yesterday. It's now obvious why she didn't give me it. There are still other transactions on my online receipt which haven't been retuned, so I am still entitled to 1000 of the points. I don't have a crystal ball but ...
I too bought 4 in another store and had points on straight away.
Ridiculous carry on and nonsense from manager. I need to think what to do next, should be same policy across all stores. Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

This offer was only on chart cds in my store and not on the bargain chart. I bought 2 dvds and got 500 points which were added right away. I am sorry to hear that some of you are having to put up with rude, horrible staff. I have noticed alot recently in many shops that they staff arent as polite and pleasent as the used to be. It really annoys me when staff have a conversation between themselves instead of talking to the customer. Im 27 and find this so rude!!!0
