My husband's down at Tesco right now, trying to persuade them to refund him for 6 CDs that he bought after being reassured that the points would go on. The CS assistant was nasty last time, telling him he couldn't have a refund if he'd bought them just for the points! So let's see how he's got on this time.0

Just while we are in a "bad tesco" mood, thought I would say that I ordered wine from the wine club last week, wasn't in to receive delivery, so the guy left it in our wheelie bin, yes, with our other rubbish.
Is it just me or is that wrong ?
I phoned to moan and they said its protected in a box etc, which of course it is, but still.
Oh and I bought 2 cd's with the 500pts sel, no points on receipt, returned them immediately, the csd did say the pts would go on in may tho. So she would have to take them off me, I said sure, can you show me the pts on then, no, ok no pts on, no pts off.0 -

And what if it'd have been bin day :rotfl:0 -
Yeah, I was going to say that when the guy said "they were in a box, protected", not from a bin lorry they werent.0

I bought 2 more CDs today & no points showed. Went to Customer Services who were adament that points don't show at point of sale but will show in May's statement. The reason they gave for this is because it is a promotion being offered by Tesco Personal Finance not by Tesco. Firstly I don't really get this TPF & Tesco thing and secondly they said the fact that my points have shown straight away on my receipt for the other CDs I have bought in the last week was a mistake and shouldn't have shown straight away!
Wasn't happy with this as it makes no sense why it shows some days but not on others so asked for a refund. The man then said that my 500 points would still go through because he hadn't actually deducted them even though he gave me a refund. If that is true, I would eat my hat! My husband managed to get a refund on the CDs after some discussion with CS and the Manager.0

So for all the tesco staff claiming the points go on in may etc (not for 1 minute do I believe that as in the time of having a card the points have always shown on the receipt even if not added to the total for a couple of days) does that mean the majority on here are in for a load of 500 point + bonus come may seeing as the promotion is seemingly NOT by tesco but by TPF?. I mean tesco have been adding the points at the cs desk when pressed so nothing to do with TPF if cs add the points there end either!.
Cant wait till may, I really cant as either a load of us will get countless 500 point bonuses on top of what the cs desk put on or there will be a massive kick-off at tesco for countless cd offer missing points.0 -

I'm sorry but thats really bad!
I'm sure it must go against some 'health and safety' rules!
Boxed or not at the end of the day its a consumable product!
Bad MrT very bad!!!0 -
Lily Allen ones Tesco substituted cost 20.10 for 3
LA ones I ordered were 13.50 for 3
Tesco pricematched the subs to 13.50 for 3 (i.e reduced by 6.60)
Great but as said no points.
I should have been refunded 13.50 LA cd's & 4.00 KL cd - total 17.50
(the 6.60 being irrelevant now)
Assistant - after horrendous hassle - has DEDUCTED THE 6.60,(scored out and signed) and refunded me £10.70. Which I was too upset and angry to notice till now !!!
So I'm nearly 6 quid down and dunno if she's taken my LEGITIMATE points away !!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j
