can you pick up the points on two of the same disc? if no, can you do it in seperate transactions. i.e. disc a + disc b = 500 points, disc a + disc c = 500 points.etc. or does it all have to be different discs every time.
can you ask the staff to confirm the points will go on beefore you pay, because i dont want to pay and not get the points...
i dont want them to also turn around and say the points are void so i want to know is it such that if you have a receipt with the points on it that they for sure cannot take it from you
I bought 2 cds about 10 days ago. I checked they were included in the offer and I would get the points before I bought them, still did not get the points. I have spoken to customer services 3 times now and clubcard twice and still no points.
I have been done.......0 -

Having bought shedloads of stuff from Tescos for the points over the past 12 months, as a rule of thumb I find that if you are geting extra points for buying a specific product (eg 500 pts for buying 2 CDs/DVDs) then they are always shown on the till receipt and added to your total within about 48 hours. This aplied to all the wine, crisps, tea, bacon, perfume last year and now the CDs, DVDs and games.
The exception was the campaign in March/April 2009 where you had to register on a Tesco Mobile and would get extra points on a range of products - up to 5 of each product each week. This was run by a seperate marketing company who were overwhelmed and points took some time to come thorugh.
I kept a spreadsheet of all my purchases for a quarter last year and all the points were shown on the receipts and added within 48 hours.
I've also found that Tesco staff rarely understand what clubcard delas they have on and what should happen regarding points.0 -
Picked up Scouting for Girls (£3.00) and Marina and the Diamonds (£7.85) last night just as the CS lady appeared with a customer complaining that the points had not been credited. The CS lady removed the SEL from the SFG cd saying that it should have been removed. At that point I said that as I had just put it in my trolley would I get the points? She just said they wouldn't go on at the till but to come to the desk and see her after I paid. This I did and the points were added no fuss or bother, although I think the offer on the cheaper cd must have expired. To anyone who hasn't received points immediately in store I would think you have lost out as usually, in my experience, these offer points are always added at the time of purchase.0

just got back from tescos.
Having kept reading about Lily allen being £4.50 and going through I was confused because in my store its £6.70, today looked at bargain shelf and theres a diff one for £4.50, along with Kings of leon £4 thought I'd gamble and go for it...
...points automatically went on.:heart2:Stupid, unreliable vampire.:heart2:0 -
I also bought the Lily Allen cd today. There were two almost identical Lily Allen cds, one at £6.70 and one at £4.50 which was included in the offer. I bought the cheap one but it scanned as the more expensive one so they had to go do a price check and then refund the £6.70 and rescan it at £4.50. Then because it hadn't gone through with the other offer cd the points didn't come up. Did check my receipt though and went to cs who manually added the 500 points. also found the £3.00 Judy Garland cd and £4.00 kings of leon plus the beyonce cd so got 1000 points all showing on the recipt.0

Just had the most awful scene in tesco 'customer services'.
Over week ago bought 4 CD's from bargain chart, didn't get points. Result - lost out on 2000 points.
(although all SEL as such and told by assistant would honour them- but they were removing stock right then cos of it).
Phoned store, eventually gave up on that as assistant didn't know what I was talking about.
Plan B. Ordered online. 2 DVD's = 500 points.
2 Kings Leon = 500 points
extra 1 Kings Leon
3 Lily Allen = 1000 points
Total possible = 2000 points
asked if any substitutions made to ensure part of points offer.
Rec'd 3 more expensive Lily Allen CD's which were not part of offer so NO POINTS meaning lost out on 1000 points for them and a KL cd.
(Did get 1000 points for 2 dvds & 2 KL cds).
Phoned ONLINE CS, was told return them to nearest store. Explained delivery came from next town but he said just return to nearest.
Took them back, was told should have taken them to next store, but they would put it through this time. Then told that the offer was only on selected CD's, and that they shouldn't accept KL return as unsealed - (the way they sell it).
BUT they'do do it this time only.
Said I knew which ones were part of deal and that the dearer ones were substituted and no points so could I have refund for the 4 I was returning please?
'So you bought 3 CD's the same and now you want to bring them back?' - and told me she would be taking points off me. I said I was entitled to the 1000 points on the receipt cos had bought other stuff as above.
She said she was just informing me that if I return stuff they have to take the points off. I said not those ones and she then loudly told me not to speak to her like that and I shouldn't have brought them there anyway, that there was a queue waiting and I was holding everyone up - at which point a woman there began berating me as well.
I told assistant CS had told me to bring stuff to nearest store and she said that's twice I'd said that, no point repeating stuff, but then went on about removing the points! It was utterly crazy, worse than I'm describing, and I seriously thought she was going to ring for security - when all I was doing was explaining what was needed. She demanded my card and clubcard to do the refund, still saying she was entitled to tell me they were taking points off, and I shouldn't have brought them there anyway. When I said 'guy on phone said ... she cut me off and told me I'd kept telling her that and I should let her get on with her work and stop holding the queue up.
I hadn't even mentioned the previous buy when points not honoured.
I was shaking, practically in tears (was afterwards) and I really don't think I will ever set foot in that store again. I do all my shopping in Tesco and have been trying to build points lately but this was really upsetting and way too much.
I'm never rude to anyone and to be treated like this by Tesco policy and staff is absolutely horrendous. Good luck to all who got the deals, but reckon they've got me beatFinally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

Hi Igiveup
"Just had the most awful scene in tesco 'customer services'.:mad:"
So sorry to hear about your experience, please don't let it get you too down! some people do anything to get a bit of power and how sad must that person's life be if all they can do is take their frustration out on you!
Personally I try to not buy too much from Tesco's due to their poor animal welfare:spam:... places like M&S, Waitrose and the co-op tend to not only be more friendly in terms of staff, but more friendly in general! :A
Some Tesco staff clearly need re-training, as customer service is usually a huge factor in whether someone will shop at a place!
Their loss! You'll gain long term. Karma exists!
Take your money elsewhere and just use Tesco for points when 'they' get it wrong! Manners cost nothing, but some people don't have them! At least you do!0
