i chuckled earlier on in the thread at some people accusing other people of being greedy by buying lots of cds and 'spoiling it for others'.:rotfl: doews anyone really think that tesco has got our best interests at heart?
the only ones at fault here are, plainly and simply, Tesco: they make michael douglas, in wall street, look like bambi.
serves them right that these 'aggressive' promotions are starting to come back to bite them on the bum.
get whatever you can from them , i say. we're talking about a company that makes more profit than the gdp of most african economies (put together!) and this 'issue' is costing them the equivelant of a few grains of rice!!
(rant over!!)
......and of course tesco look after their staff, suppliers and producers sooooo well too!
Lets not even get started on their crafty price changes like the vitamin E face wipes that almost trippled in price in one fell swoop!0 -
Bought 2 cd's on the 31st and was told the points would appear on the May statement, by Customer Services, so would appear in a few days on my clubcard.
checked today and still no points so spoke to CS again and told the same.
Called Clubcard helpline and they did not know what I was talking about, so no use. Girl went and checked and said she has been told the points will be added to the May statement. Think I will just take them back as they won't give me the points.0 -
I bought 6 of the £3 cd's yesterday and like everyone else didnt get the points, came into tesco today to get the points on and didnt have to put much of an argument across to get my points added!
I got lucky the day before aswell where i bought 6 £4 cd's but one of them was cracked, took it back and got a refund and they kept the points on!0 -
I am afraid if they dont appear on your receipt at the time you wont get them. Tesco Clubcard customer services are a joke. If it says extra points on the label and they dont go on your receipt argue your case at the time.0

This does anger me. Tesco will moan about the few who get their act together and find the cheap £1 cd's and fill their boots, but Tesco with their lousy training and dubious practices such as 'gap filling' and leaving deceiving SEL's up are to all intents and purposes ripping off their own shoppers.
I wish in some ways the general shopping populous were as savvy as us here, but I suppose its their ignorance and/or apathy that gives us some of the opportunities we get.0 -
And I'll bet there is an ever growing line of shoppers who don't have the determination to stand there ground and demand the points at cs like we on here have been doing. Sadly they will almost likely never see those points added in May.
By the way, went to tesco today and noticed the cheap chart still has the yellow sel's offering 500 points and I noticed several people looking and choosing cd's off that chart. I have to sadly wander how few of them have the nerve to argue the point (no pun intended) with cs or believe what they are told about points being added later.0 -
Just got back from tesco and they did add my points after my call to them yesterday however the store assistant at the CS desk added 500 points for each disc so I walked away with 1000 points for 2 CD's... I didn't push my luck with the forever love CD's as I didn't want them to notice they had given me too many anyway.
Call the stores guys and tell them that clubcard have said that they must give you the points in-store, ask them to keep a record of your name at the CS desk so that when you go in you wont have to argue the point again.
Good luck0 -
I bought two cd's the other day, on the offer, and got my 500 points, no forever love cd's at all. This was at Tesco Extra Irvine.
Went back yesterday and got two Nintendo DS games, not sale ones, one had the offer of 250 points the other didn't, was buying them for the kids easter, but went to the sales desk and got the 500 bonus points, I was confused as only one SEL was on offer, the other wasn't, makes you wonder if it's a software glitch on their main system somewhere?!Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
After some of the points on Friday's shop at The Barrow in Furness store did not show on the clubcard and having been given the 48 hour routine by the duty store manager I was pleasantly relieved to see the points have been credited to my account this morning thereby saving me a 70 mile round trip and further confrontation.:j0

I go away for a few days and miss out! Worst thing is I was back Friday but never read this thread.
Can I clarify, is the FL cd still giving points if I can find any, lol?0
