"Always some that ruin it for the rest" true some people go over the top but unfortunately what ruins it for everyone is the fact it is posted on MSE and then it is mailed out to millions of email addresses. Hundreds of thousands of people attempt to to take advantage of the offer, this then spooks the retailer or alerts the retailer to the glitch and so it is pulled or fixed.

Sorry but I don't think that's correct. From a large retailer's perspective, if lots of people go to their stores and buy a few each, the odds are that those people having made the journey will spend elsewhere in the store. I normally spend at least £20 per visit to a supermarket even if I only went in to get a couple of small things because once I'm in there I think of other things I need. That's why shops use loss leaders - to get people in the door. The hit they take on the promotion is off-set by additional expenditure and getting customers in the door who might otherwise shop elsewhere. They care a lot about their market share.

That's a completely different concept from a small minority of people getting large amount of benefit from very little expenditure, who are probably not going to spend very much else if they've gone in there to buy dozens and dozens of CD's.

What's to stop them enforcing 6 CD's per transaction for 1500 points only, retrospectively?

:D And Russell Watson will be amazed at his sudden popularity and more people will have listened to Ska than ever before :rotfl:

Then there's the charity shops who will suddenly be opening bags of brand new CD's - all the same....

Fraud?? Once you've purchased something for agreed conditions + price isn't that a contract? Would be like ordering your groceries and they only delivering half and saying they want to keep the other half. Correct me if wrong :j
  • LMAO!! Look at this, people trying to flog their Forever Love CDs on ebay, somehow i think they got them for this offer seeing as they're all listed within the last 24hours ;)

Can't believe some people are trying to sell them for £1.99, lmao!

There was plenty in the Tesco extra in yeading. FL has no price, nor any offer listed on them, so took two to try out and they gave me 500 points. went back got another 14 to make that 4000 points all together. Nothing said about bulk buying policy? Total spend was £16

There are plenty more in this branch if anyone wants to drive up.

    Thanks OP

If it were released for there regular chart and NOT the budget chart (as I think many seen it amongst the regular chart albums) then by sales alone they could be forced by there own chart policy to do just that.

In any case (and don't shoot me down for this lol) all tesco need do to solve the issue there end is simply up the price to that of the other £3.50 priced albums in the offer. And I'll bet that's just what they will do.

You can always make a cot mobile out of them. :D And then sell the empty cases!

Use them to scare cats from your garden.

    A funky headboard.

Hand them into your local nursery to use in craft.

    Coasters.

Or just give them to folk you don't really like.

My 2 Cd's have shown up on the online receipt with my points, will check again after it is delivered (Friday), so I'm happy anyway.
