Right, I am going to declare today as an NSD! A bit early I know...but this will deter me (and DH) from heading off out somewhere. This will take me up to 8, over half-way :j and just over half-way through the month...also just over half-way through my GC budget...so looking good (fingers crossed and purse hidden!).

I didn't go back for the ham...DS2 would only have eaten it twice as fast if he knew there was lots more lurking (me too :D). Just because it is on offer...doesn't mean I HAVE to have it!! Our Edam stocks weren't as low as I thought, so there was no need to shop again last night. (shines halo! :A:A)

I feel I am really thinking twice (and sometimes thrice!) over what to buy these days...I drew up a shopping list for AP on Thursday...but have yet to order...will discuss it with DH this weekend, and perhaps order on Monday...my next planned SD....if indeed I order at all!!

So a weekend of gardening ahead, with some sewing inbetween to give my back a break.

I too will be pleased to get back to a routine when DS2 goes back to school on Monday (though he has an interview at a local college first thing that day...a bit of driving about for me then!).

Not sure if my lil sis and family will get back in time for niece to start school on Tuesday
though (inset day Mon) ...they are up in Wick atm and had planned to fly back from Inverness to Luton on Monday...still don't know when they will get home...but they aren't complaining about a few extra days in Scotland! Amazing how a volcano in Iceland can ground most planes in Europe!! The power of Mother Nature (or is it Gaia??).

Have a great weekend everyone. :)

  • NSD 4 for me yesterday :j
Not doing as well as I'd hoped this month but I kinda knew that with the school hols things would be tough! Not to mention that everything seems to be going wrong/blowing up at the moment!!! In the last week alone DS has broken his phone, DVD player has packed in, the boiler is leaking AND acting up (maybe because of the leak?!) 2 of the kids DS's have gone wrong (now sorted) and my bedside lamp quit on me (I know this is not huge but I can't get to sleep without reading and am far too lazy to want to get out of bed & turn the "big" light off!!!):mad::mad: Boiler already cost me £360 last month too! I've taken out the insurance plan with BG but the d@mn thing has to be working properly for them to cover it....

Ah well, did manage to get my mum to take 2 of the kids into town the other day. They'd been crazing me for some clip-on earings so she took them into clare's and got them 4 pairs (I have four girls). £17.50 later mum was in shock & I was glad she had taken them :p

Hoping for a NSD today but we'll see....

Hope everyone has a fab Saturday :D

Thanks spoon, dentist was actually very nice and gentle, unfortunately the billing wasnt! ££££££ out the door! I need to go back shortly to have some work done, which will be even more pricey.

Not sure about NSDs this weekend - I have a lot of volluntary work to catch up on and OH has some job hunting to do, so hopefully we can stay in the house, but we may need to rustle around and do some things.

Morning all, resident cake baker reporting for duty ....
Have I missed the recipe for the chockie-fudge ..seriously..I much prefer using a 'tried & tested' from someone on here, than an air-brushed mess in a recipe book!

I surprised myself yesterday, by reaching double figures & racking up nsd No 10 ka-mmonnnn sumo.gif Me muvva is after some plants for her pots & doesn't want to buy a tray, so we might be going to a car boot today or tomorrow..perhaps I'll leave my purse at home, or I'll end up bringing in other people's tat when I already have more than enough of my own Pep036.gif

Looks like our nite out has come at the right time with all the celebrations. Did I see someone say they're getting the tickets for the coach? That poor driver will need a holiday after spending the evening with us, so don't forget to make a cake as a thank-you BDINI :rotfl:

  • really tiring day yesterday at work, so forgot to claim yesterday's NSD. Won't get one to-day as we did the big shop, but under budget again. Aliens have fiddled again and I'm back in working order.

I know its early, but Im declaring No 10 today :j:j:j. Weve been to 3 garden centres today looking for new furniture but didn't see anything we liked that we could afford.... and I didn't give in to our sons constant nagging for McDonalds, we came home and I made lunch :T. I did see a lovely 3 tier glass cake stand that I would love since I love to bake but I was very good and resisted the urge since I do not need it only WANT it. :(
