  • Driving is going OK thank you, it's so expensive though! I only have one lesson a week, and it's £20.50. Last two lessons my driving instructer has brought me back 5-10 minutes early though which is annoying. If it happens again I'll have to get him told!

OMG I'm feeling old. My lessons were only £9 for the hour! but then that was 20years ago :o (Hiding after realising how long ago)

Today might be one for me.. I cant tell! :rotfl: Good luck everyone!

    You tease!;)

Oh my god - I got the job!!! It's only till September, but this is amazing!! Also I'm still going to be applying for things, just until it's all confirmed. But I'm so happy. (Not really relevant to NSDs, so apologies.)

Loving all the outfits for Glasgow. Won't we look fab?

No NSD today. Have paid for DS1 (N1nt3ndoDS1 that is!) but I'm still the highest bidder for DS2:eek: and only 4 hrs to go!. Grocery shop this morning came under budget and no expected spends till.......next Friday! Can I do it? Yes I can......maybe.

I'm getting an ISA set up as haven't got one yet but am also thinking about joining MFW thread. Things are looking good:T

Another one for me today please Spoon to even things up as promised! it was a bit touch and go when on rising this morning I discovered a smashed dog food bowl on the kitchen floor (I blame one of the cats they ca be so spiteful like that I find! :p) The old me would obviously have had to hot foot it down to Pets R Us etc to instantly replace with something tasteful however the new me rumaged in the cuboard and found a white serving dish that I no longer use - Perfick!

Great news about the job Lolly - well done and yeah to you CW - you are my hero :A - I hate anyone or anything near my eyes and would have had to have sat on my hands to stop myself punching the poor healthcare professional :o

I'm declaring no 9 for me today :j:j:j. I will be glad to get back into the school run routine, it's been hard during the holidays not to spend money unnecessarily. Sometime this week I've got to pay for daughters college camping trip £60 for one night... and she has to take her own food etc. still, she will be doing lots of activities that she wouldn't normally do and sons boys brigade subs are due at the end of this week too .

Declaring no 8 for me today, have spent the day pressure washing the front, back and side of the house and have still not finished. I did not start till 2pm though. My back is killing me so im off to relax for the evening.
I agree Karenccs67, even though I have enjoyed the time off I do tend to spend more money on things just cause its the holidays.

Evening all another nsd today - am shattered after dancing last night and 2 hours of teaching PE today so not even going to spend anything tonight either. Have told dh about the ns thread and he reckons he could manage 10 days in May - so now we'll have a competition between us (I WILL WIN!)

If you haven't already chosen your ISA, and if you haven't already seen it then there is a great thread by kazza242, and in his first post he keeps an updated list of the best ISA's. For new money instant access then the best is Santander at 3.2% until next March.

And for MFW.... If you want to join a challenge then the MFW 2010 is still open to new MFWee's and of course you don't have to pay off your mortgage during 2010! FinancialBliss had a great MFW diary with lots of good ideas. If you want a Mortgage Calculator then look up Locoblade -his spreadsheet is the business

    :wave:Hi cw18
Glad the op went well and you're OK, despite the shiner:(. You've had a very busy day as well, considering you've had an op as well.... great news on the cheques:j and more whoopsies:j. Are you sure you're not opening a new store?

Take care - try to make sure you have a rest over the weekend, even "minor" ops take a bit of getting over

Hi curly - thanks for all the info, you're a gem:A, that's really useful. Haven't really been around the other boards that much, will take myself off for a wander over the weekend and see what else I can find:).

Back later for an update. Lots more NSDs today and only 2 weeks to our night out:j:j
