  • Hi, sorry I have not been around for a few days...have been really busy.
I am very happy to report that in the last 7 days I have achieved 4 NSD's :)
Which brings me up to 10, only 10 to go to reach target! :)
    S-i-d
    Still too much debt :(
  • If you haven't already chosen your ISA, and if you haven't already seen it then there is a great thread by kazza242, and in his first post he keeps an updated list of the best ISA's. For new money instant access then the best is Santander at 3.2% until next March.

And for MFW.... If you want to join a challenge then the MFW 2010 is still open to new MFWee's and of course you don't have to pay off your mortgage during 2010! FinancialBliss had a great MFW diary with lots of good ideas. If you want a Mortgage Calculator then look up Locoblade -his spreadsheet is the business

Thanks for that. I'll have a look when I get a mo. Currently updating my daily clicks spreadsheet from EagerLearner. I :heart2: spreadsheets! Definitely addicted to MSE now.

Update on N1nt3ndoDS2........I was outbid with 2 minutes to go:T . Was panicking slightly but everything OK now.

Have a good weekend everyone. Not sure if I'll be around yet but will be thinking of you................
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

Hi curly - thanks for all the info, you're a gem:A, that's really useful. Haven't really been around the other boards that much, will take myself off for a wander over the weekend and see what else I can find:).
    out:j:j

There is some really useful stuff out there, knowledgeble and helpful people......but there are areas on the forum that are less friendly. MFW is much like DFW I think, Savings is not too bad but I find Pension and ISA threads have a very sober tone.....which is fine, afterall they are there for meaningful discussion rather than fun. But you do get the odd person liking to prove their financial know-how is far far superior to yours by flexing their MSE pecs and strutting round!

LOL that was exactly the image I had in mind when I was thinking of myself getting ready to go out nowadays

Hope you got some 'you' time today and enjoy your weekend.. . You are good to your mum

Everhopeful09: well done for no 5 :j- doing well now... Keeping my fingers crossed you have also managed no 6 to even up that nasty odd number;). BDINI has mentioned taking a bacon sandwich with her into work to avoid spending on breakfasts - maybe something you could think about? I would say hope the bank card has arrived - but that may only tempt you into spending more, so maybe you’re better off without it?;)
karenccs67: well done for no 8:j... and yay to your lovely mum. Fingers crossed for an NSD for you today... Update - you made no 9 also - well done.:j School holidays must make it difficult to not spend, so well done for getting this far

Keep posting on here, we’ll give you lots of encouragement
Lollypop75: well done to you for no 7.:j You’re forgiven for having an odd number for the news about the job - well done,:j we’re all really pleased for you (and you don’t have to apologise for posting such great news on here).

curlygirl1971: well done to you for no 9 :j - over halfway now..... Thanks for all the brilliant info this evening, you’re a star:A

    And hello to everyone else:
jintyb: you seem to have a knitting addiction now.:) Maybe everyone on here should take up knitting to avoid spending money - we could start an NSD knitters club thread:cool:... Glad you’re enjoying it, you’ve done well to start on small things, makes it seem more manageable. Hope you had a good day - well done on your grocery budget for the month - that’s brilliant! :T Strange the meals we can conjure up out of apparently nothing when we start thinking for a change... Well done for paying off the balance on your hols - sounds great!!:j
Changingme: well done for getting so organised:j - hope the grocery shop went OK and good luck on cleaning your cooker (I hate that job as well.. grim :( )
pure dead dopey: do you not like my outfit for our night out - I thought it would go down rather well in Glasgow:cool:....
blueelephanttrunk: the gym trousers sound like a bargain - well done for that!:) Your driving instructor however is ripping you off :mad:- at £20.50 for an hour you are entitled to the full hour and you really do need to make that plain (I see karenccs67 has said the same as well)... LfV, my lessons were £5 per hour.... I feel really old
slowlyfading: come on - put us out of our misery - did you make no 14????:D
LadyfromVenice: we’re going to look so cool in Glasgow:cool::cool:.... Really hoping you were outbid on 3bay.. Yay to grocery shop under budget - brilliant:j - yes you can manage until next Friday, take up knitting instead of spending money. You’re doing brilliantly!
Keiss 21: bogof ham sounds good, hope you managed to get some more.:) Fingers crossed for a spend-free weekend, should be good weather so gardening should definitely be on the cards!:j

    Well done everyone:j:j

Another NSD for me today - no 11 now (yes, I know it's a nasty untidy odd number;)).....

Off to update the front page again, see you all tomorrow for more fun and frolics:):):)

    Hi everyone,

Hi spoon :) thanks for adding me, it was NSD no. 1 for me yesterday so I'm off! Cheers for the update too, I've been checking out the skimpy kilt pics :T sounds like the 30th will be a great night!

BigMumma - loving your outfit inspiration :D

Congratulations Lollypop - fab news :T

Justinpeace, glad your internet is all sorted, isn't it horrible being without it! I was lost without ours :o

LadyfromVenice - phew to being outbid :)

Right, I have a SD ahead, we've just finished decorating and putting bed up in DS's new bedroom and we're going out today to buy him a couple of finishing touches. We've also got to look into getting an electrician round to move the light in his room as now we've put his huge cabin bed up, he is extremely close to his lampshade!

    Happy Saturday all,
    honey x
