So new shopping tip from me ladies - in addition to shopping in your wardrobe, shop in the OHs :)

I bought OH a nice summer jacket and a belt two birthdays ago. Now, he wears the jacket all the time but was never ar!ed to go and get a new hole in the belt so he could wear it. So, I took it today (Ive needed a thick belt for ages but havent found one in good shape in a chairty shop so handnt bought one), got a hole put in and and have confiscated it. So, new belt and an NSD! Bonus points for me!!

Still in dress negotiations! (between watching The Restoration Man on 4ondemand :D). But I think it's safe to declare NSD 9. By the time we eventually agree a swap and a price and I lock myself out of various accounts trying to pay for it, it'll be midnight, if I do go for it :D. So I'll be safe.

Hey Spoon, thanks for your kind words, yes, I had a bit of a downer this weekend, it's not like me, really! Have given myself a good talking to and I feel more like myself today! I was focussing on the negative and not the many positive blessings I have in my life!:j
Re: the knitting - my next project is a sleeveless long cardi. Im just waiting for the wool to arrive! This will be the first biggie, but its on chunky wool and an "easy - knit" pattern so I'm optimistic!:rotfl: Plus, I've got my lovely Mum nearby to help She is a beautiful knitter.:)
Hi jintyb - really pleased you're back to your normal cheery self today, you sounded sooo down the other day. Hang on in there, will soon be payday again, and you know where to come for a rant if you need one

Except for those of us who work IN the shops..... for me, it's a day off work that's more likely to end up as an NSD :rotfl: Probably wouldn't be as bad if I didn't work in a food shop, but there again it does mean I'm sometimes "on the spot" for the Whoopsies ;)

Hi cw.... ahhh..... forgot about all you lovely people who actually work in the shops, sorry :o:o

I've always wondered about that phrase! I reckon a monkey would have a field day and as you were slowly, slowly creeping up on him, he'd stay perfectly still and just as you thought you were about to catchy monkey, he'd be off like a whippett, laughing like a hyena, and you'd be left looking daft and hunting for a different phrase :D
nicca, yours is the second post which has made me laugh this evening... this is brilliant and well deserves a second viewing:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Good mornign everyone!

Up to number NSD 16 yesterday; however, today I have a few bits-n-bobs to get, so will def be a spend day - leaving me requiring a NSD from each of the last 3 days of the month to reach my pledge/target of 19 - I'm quietly confident and have my fingers crossed.
