    Yahooooo!

Another NSD yesterday takes it to 12 for the month. :)

Unfortunately I needed a full tank of fuel today (£56 for a ford focus 1.6l !!!!!!!) to see me through the rest of the week.

Good luck to all those who are close to their targets and well done to those that have surpassed them. I'm 12/10 for the month :)
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I'm declaring today another NSD! I have actually spent 95p on milk and a banana, however I am taking back some furry strawberries to Asda so will get a refund, only bought them on Sunday and they turned furry already, yuck!

I'm sure our little friends will be fine on Friday LfV--have you seen what some of US are wearing  A little green make-up will be the least of our fashion faux pas & we can blame it on the 80s New Romantic disco-revival if the door supervisors want to get funny ;) Speaking of which Boultdj--do I recall saying you've been in that line of work? I know someone is trained in the martial arts but thought that was someone else--apologies if I've got it wrong again :o I'd like to think I would tackle strange people wandering around my property, but then I've watched too many cop shows to be that brave; too many idiots carrying a weapon of some description & worse, prepared to use it for no good reason :(

I also noticed others skirted around asking thinking.gif
so I'M going to...what on earth were you doing, that led to The Sailors Hornpipe & nasty injury Keiss! Back in the day my hen night consisted of maybe 10 of my mates & we couldn't decide where to go, so just moved from one hostelry to another. One of them lived close by our last watering hole & we went back there to have a coffee as we were having such a lovely time swapping recipes & knitting patterns *cough* Anyhoo..they were decorating & had removed the outside bannister; I sent my sister flying from the top step & she landed on her feet AND walked home! Next day she was bruised from thigh to below her knee, but admitted that if she had been less [STRIKE]lubricated[/STRIKE] supple, would have probably broken her leg if not her neck :o Strangely enough, I think that was the last time I ever drunk that much 'coffee' in one go...That's why I'm sticking to the apple juice in Glaes-ghee :p

By the by--another for me please Spoon; can't quite believe how many I've achieved, particularly as I had such a poor start to this month.

Looking back at my waffle, I was probably not very clear...the foot and back breaking incidents all happened in the space of 6 months or so in 1983.

I was an MSc student then, living in the country (Jodrell Bank, south of Manchester)...and things, well, just happened that year! :o

I broke my back falling off a horse (or rather hitting the ground!!)...silly, but rather straightforward...it was a hairline fracture of the sacrum, which didn't show up for 3 weeks, despite lots of X-rays and numerous trips in Ambulances!!

The dancing however...a few of us had lunch in a local pub, and the Scottish barmaid in the other bar was trying to remember all the words of Flower of Scotland...enter moi, another mad Scot! There was an equally mad Irishman with a moothie (harmonica), who was playing the music. We then progressed to some Scottish country dancing, then somehow I was dancing the Sailor's Hornpipe...in sandals (the Jesus-type). I cought the sandal on the carpet...and well...I had to be helped to the car...doctors, then hospital!! :o . All this and no alcohol either...honest!!! :rotfl:

So you see, I could be a liability on Friday. :D At least I won't be dancing as I am to be fitted with a "boot" to protect my broken toe (confirmed this morning)..but as the hospital has run out of boots, I will have to go back to get one fitted later today or tomorrow!

I think I will make a fleece sock/bootee to keep my foot warm as the nurse strapped up the foot, and I can't even get my slippers on now. ATM I am sporting a Gloucester Rugby plastic bag...very stylish!!

Right off to ice the foot again...bit difficult with the strapping, but I'll give it a go!

Have a great day...it's supposed to get really warm!

You'll need to call the moves from the sidelines on Friday though, given your toe situation.

So you see, I could be a liability on Friday. :D At least I won't be dancing as I am to be fitted with a "boot" to protect my broken toe (confirmed this morning)..but as the hospital has run out of boots, I will have to go back to get one fitted later today or tomorrow! Clearly your not the only one breaking your toe! I didn't realise it was such a common occurrance! (Though my big toe has supported a massive lump for many years courtest of an incident involving the tiled edge of a shower cubilcle, water and said toe!!!)

I think I will make a fleece sock/bootee to keep my foot warm as the nurse strapped up the foot, and I can't even get my slippers on now. ATM I am sporting a Gloucester Rugby plastic bag...very stylish!! Beautiful!

Another NSD today ,take's me to 15 and I think I'm going to make that my May target. BigMumma it's Lfv that does martial art's,no I'v not been a lady bouncer but I am checky devil and gobby to boot, when I was young and working at the factory we use to go out every week-end but the pub's round town only had 2 cubical's per ladie's, plus they only put 1 toilet roll per loo, the gent's on the other hand had 3 cubical's and spare loo roll's so you can see where the habit started, I was alway's the frist 1 in cause like I said I'm checky, as for tackling stranger's on the back it was day time,if it had been night I would have phoned police.
