Have managed another one today so thats 11!!!! & i'm mega proud of myself as there were points when i didn't even think i'd make 10 :j :jsolventsoon wrote: »BDINI: well done:j....... you made your target - after the month you’ve just had, that’s fantastic news, :jyou now have 10 NSDs under your belt, hoping for another couple by the end of the month.:)

Don't think i can give you a couple more though Spoon much as i'd love to, tomorrow my shopping delivery is coming, Thursday is a leaving lunch for a girl from work & then unfortunately the nightmare mother is descending on me for bank holiday
It'll be an expensive one as she will come with no money & then want to be out doing stuff the whole time, it's always the same  by the time all thats out the way it'll be May & my budget till payday (15th) will be incredibly tight.
Ah well at least that will encourage plenty of NSD's in early May
On the bright side have had no signal on my TV for nearly 2 weeks & was on the verge of paying for a new aerial, till i came home today & it's all back & working fine :TFebruary NSD challenge 5/150 -
Not an NSD for me today.
Decided to get in what I needed for meals for the rest of the week - the main stumbling block being I needed mushrooms for 2 of them and chips for a third, which only left me one meal I could cobble together for today and a need to spend tomorrow when I'd have been flustered (and probably only bought what I needed for the day). I also picked up yoghurts for DS (his faves are on special offer), some whoopsied 'trifle sponge fingers' so I can make some Tiramisu (pretty sure I already have everything else I need for this), and whoopsied ground rice (I love homemade semolina). The only thing I forgot to pick up was a garlic baguette, so I might pop back down for that later (during Whoopsie times, and see if I can bag myself a pack of almond croissants and/or raspberry donuts while I'm there)
Have decided DS isn't really eating bread at the moment, so I'm going to start using up some of the multigrain and granary types I have in the freezer (packed as 2 or 4 slices, depending on whether I'm pulling for breakfast or lunch). This will also (hopefully) free up some space for the start of next month when I will have to stock up on frozen veg. Didn't get milk as he didn't use as much yesterday (and hasn't so far today either), so will have to wait and see how long the 6 pints in the fridge can keep him going as that should be what determines my next spend day......Cheryl0 -

I had thought that today would be a spend day as I was at hospital with DH - hospital is about 20 mile from us and there is a Morrisons close by so I was going to tke advantage of the trip and call in there - but we decided that we would just come straight home - DH was tired and ready for somethin to eat and then a sleep
So that means ......drum roll ......... NSD's for APRIL 15/15 :j and the month's not over yet
So the question is, do I raise my target to 17 ......considers momentarily ....... yeh let's go for it !!!!! so I am now 15/17Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12
3Dogs'Mam 31-3-13

Looking back at my waffle, I was probably not very clear...the foot and back breaking incidents all happened in the space of 6 months or so in 1983.
I was an MSc student then, living in the country (Jodrell Bank, south of Manchester)...and things, well, just happened that year!
Oooh.. not that far from me then
I broke my back falling off a horse (or rather hitting the ground!!)...silly, but rather straightforward...it was a hairline fracture of the sacrum, which didn't show up for 3 weeks, despite lots of X-rays and numerous trips in Ambulances!!
Ouch...... I've always thought horses were dangerous creatures (too large a body and too small a brain) and that just goes to prove it...
The dancing however...a few of us had lunch in a local pub, and the Scottish barmaid in the other bar was trying to remember all the words of Flower of Scotland...enter moi, another mad Scot! There was an equally mad Irishman with a moothie (harmonica), who was playing the music. We then progressed to some Scottish country dancing, then somehow I was dancing the Sailor's Hornpipe...in sandals (the Jesus-type). I cought the sandal on the carpet...and well...I had to be helped to the car...doctors, then hospital!!. All this and no alcohol either...honest!!! :rotfl:
Now if you'd had some alcohol, you would have had a much softer landing and not done so much damage:rotfl:
So you see, I could be a liability on Friday. At least I won't be dancing as I am to be fitted with a "boot" to protect my broken toe (confirmed this morning)..but as the hospital has run out of boots, I will have to go back to get one fitted later today or tomorrow!
Sounding very stylish
I think I will make a fleece sock/bootee to keep my foot warm as the nurse strapped up the foot, and I can't even get my slippers on now. ATM I am sporting a Gloucester Rugby plastic bag...very stylish!!
Definitely...
Right off to ice the foot again...bit difficult with the strapping, but I'll give it a go!
Have a great day...it's supposed to get really warm!
Oooh, Keiss, hope the foot starts to get less painful soon
