Ouch! Sending you someNottoobadyet wrote: » oh no, that sounds horrible!!!! Hope you feel better and the nail doesnt come off... do you think its broken?
Thanks guys...it is still quite painful, and probably will be for a good few days I expect. The nail will almost certainly come off...not sure if the toe is broken though. It is very sore and still quite swollen...I am having to walk on the heel/side of the foot, which is quite painful even for a short while.
I am contemplating making a hole in my nail with a needle, to see if the blood can escape and relieve the pressure on the nail and toe, not sure if I can reach, or have the nerve to do it mind you!! I have iced the toe/foot three times today, not that it has helped much...the best thing is to have it raised..it's on a chair atm.
Even if the toe is broken, there isn't much they can do about it...so probably won't head for A&E if I can help it!
Off to bed now...now where is a good strong needle? Will let you know if I dare to do it, and if there is any improvement.

Had a lovely spending day yesterday, saw the physio, then went out for the rest of the day with a friend. Needless to say, money was spent...but mainly presents for various people, as well as lunch out...did get some food essentials too though.
Glad you had a lovely day yesterday, sounds great
I am suffering today I am afraid. Last night, an offcut of our solid oak kitchen work-top fell onto one of my feet and crushed my big toe (the others aren't too happy either!!). Today the nail is all black & blue and still very painful, it will come off eventually I suspect:(. I have to have it raised as the blood pressure when the foot is down just makes it far too sore.
So I am restricted to lying on the sofa watching the snooker (go Steve Davis...what a match!!) or sitting in the conservatory on the computer or sewing...what a drag!!
Luckily I don't have any work until May 1st, I should be able to wear some form of footwear by then. At the moment I can only wear my fluffy slipper/boots...and they are a bit hot atm!!
Right off to lie down for a bit...enjoy the wonderful weather everyone.
Sending you a big hug in the meantime

Arrggh, now I'm wincing again at the idea of a needle through the nail.
Sounds really painful, hoping it eases off soon

Morning everyone! NSD 14 yesterday :j:j:j Very pleased with myself. Party was lovely and we stayed on to have a chat once most people had gone so it was quite late by the time we hit the road.
Another new week starting here this morning. Today's is going to be very busy as I'm out and about all day. I doubt very much it'll be that very last NSD that I need to reach my target though.
And we've run out of fruit alreadyI've got less than £4 in the GC left  Shall have been to be very creative I think.
Hope everyone having a 'proper' Sunday has a lovely day.CC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999
