    Yay NSD 9 today :j :j

Been a fab day today, the training was great & it was held in an asian community centre so instead of the usual curly sarnies on the buffet we got home made curry!! It was like a free takeaway :T

BigMummaF - it's not quite a college course but taking your advice i signed up to do a bit of voluntary work with someone i met on the training, am already excited at all the new friends i will meet :D

& i just have to share this quote with you cos i love it....
Having a guy dump you and say "We can still be friends" Is like having your mom say "Your dog died but you can still keep it" :rotfl:
I'm definitely going to remember this the next time ex phones for a friendly conversation that leaves me in bits!!!

& on the hat theme, i've been baking tonight, knocked up a few of these if anyone would like one, style & sugar should make sure we are the life & soul of the wedding :rotfl:

Well, my door has now been fixed (although they didn't have right part. I've now got a silver handle whilst the gold one is on order). Major spend day tonight as it was grocery shop and petrol.

I watched someone fill up their BMW 528icar.gif, they got to £70  and then stopped, I think it could have taken more! I got to £50  and refused to put any more in. It was at Asd4 though and I paid with Asd4 CC so got 42p off but even so, what a rip-off. (:rotfl:just remembered that velcro sound BMF) Our cheapest petrol is 117.9.
Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

  • NSD for me yesterday. Bit of a cheeky one as went to the Antiques Roadshow with DM, who drove, paid for parking, and bought me lunch.

Was huge fun, although I never want to queue for anything every again :rotfl:Unfortunately no amazing surprises on valuations, which is good because it was all family "heirlooms" so no terrible decisions to make :p

Actually would recommend AR as a good MSE day out. With a packed lunch and a folding chair, and it would have just been the £3 for parking and petrol, for free advice and you meet some lovely people while you're waiting - its like grown up show and tell!:T

Big Mumma - thanks so much for your reply to my post - I was having a wee "sorry for myself moment" this afternoon and when I read it it fair cheered me up to find someone was thinking about me:A Course you can borrow the "bum-clencher" expression - fairly accurate sometimes!:rotfl:

Aww jintyb..... I'm thinking about you now, sorry I wasn't around earlier to send you a hug. Have one now instead

Hope you're OK now. You may well have a rough week financially, but you will get through it.. you've got a great spirit and a brilliant positive attitude.

Hang in there, it'll soon be payday again.

Hope OH is OK and recovered from the infection now.

Take care and thinking about you
