Nicely put HappyTrue, why don't you start a holiday fund of some kind and work towards a nice holiday for your family perhaps next year or the year after? Save for it, it'll be far more a rewarding holiday than if you put it on a credit card

Morning!
Gosh you two were busy with posts yesterday, only just caught up - phew!
Happy that's so frustrating about your car - some people are so shallow and don't think of the consequences and upset it causes others. My OH is police officer so hear lots of very sad things - grrr it makes me angry
:j:j:j Yay to the bill clearing True, SO please for you :j:j:j0 -

We keep trying to start a holiday fund because we really want to take DB to Florida while he's still little (ish) but there is always something that crops up and we have to use it to supplement the emergency pot! Will try harder though as we don't have the credit card option anymore - my last one got shredded about a year agoPaddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840 -
Clearing the gas and electric has really given me a spur - I've been paying them off at £8pw for gas and £5pw for electric for about 18 months now (can't even remember how much I owed, about £2k total I think) and it just feels like paying things off is actually realistic now - before it just felt like all the small payments were barely chipping away at the enormous total, but now something is gone, well, its brilliant
I finally finished all the letters that I've been trying to write for three days, and I'm sending one last lot of tokens with an offer of repayment to start from 15th May and asking for standing order details so I can just set them up and get on with them without having to worry every month. Really want to start making headway on these now - I want the holiday, the car, the baby - everything!!
