Hiya, I am really chuffed with my march amount so far and my April starts on the 1st, so could you put me down for £260 for April? Thats for 2 adults, 3 kids, a cat, a bunny and a gerbil
and includes food, toiletries, cleaning stuff, pet food, pet bedding etc.
Thank yoooooooo!0 -
Well, my April sig is now up and running - Approved Food and Asda have now delivered, and my spend so far is £86.98.
Was quite impressed with AF - think I'll use them again if they have the right stuff in stock.
Asda managed to miss off a couple of bits (cheese and bananas), but when I was unpacking the bags I found two punnets of strawberries in there that I hadn't ordered, so I think we're even. It's the first time I've had extras delivered - what's the concensus - do you tell them, or not?
Anyway, other than getting the missing bananas and cheese, I don't need to shop again until after the bank holiday.
The NSDs should be plentiful this month - with DH still in hospital (another week at least he was told this morning), I've got to do all the shopping on foot or by home delivery (I don't drive), so there won't be many spur-of-the moment shops.

Don't know how realistic this is, but is for myself, DH and one cat - we'll see!
PS - how do I post the bits at the bottom re plans and achievements (you know what I mean!)?Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -

Hello, Can i join in again please. £80 need to save some extra pennies, only 2 more pay days till the wedding!!!
Just trying to figure out meal planning, its hard though as i work shifts. I think a monthly one is needed though. Im fed up of finishing work and going to the takeaway as there is nothing to eat.

Im also looking into switching gas and electric, i pay monthly fixed dd the last year we have lived here, but the cold winter saw us use a lot of gas and my payment for gas has more than doubled from May onwards, i dont think its a fair amount really as i was in credit to the gas at my last statement in January, so obviously its the cold weather that put it up, but i dont think that justifies 12 months of double what im paying now, so im having a look around. Im with BG at present, anyone have any recommendations for other suppliers? According to uswitch i have a lot of suppliers available to me, just choosing which one.
Hi SAS,
I've just switched from BG to npower for exactly the same reason. I was on the BG fixed rate until 2011 and even after paying the early escape fee to BG I will be hugely better off. I signed up with npower through Quidco and should get a tidy cashback on it too - double bonus!
Hi and welcome to all the new joiners on here. I was new last month too and the support on this thread is absolutely fantastic. You are right that being on here helps to focus the mind on what, where and how you spend (and if you need to). Hold on to those recipts and keep posting. The other contributors on here are wonderful.
Good luck and welcome,
