Hi, Thanks to the GC committee for sorting the thread, it's my favourite!
It's a 5 week month so can you please put me down for £400 Mrs M thanks v much.
Have already done a big shop as cupboards and freezer were bare so have alreay spent £200 . In my defence we don't need much more this month as have bought most of what we need plus a few bulk buys from costco so just need fruit, veg and dairy (kitty says hopefully, lol). My budget includes groceries, cleaning and alcohol, not milk though strangely as we still get it delivered and therefore comes out of my cash fund!
Must go, chicken stroganoff and cous cous for tea with my reduced £2.80 leftover chicken from Sunday (do you know it was nicer than my usual free range £7 one!)
Good luck all!
Ps Oh do tell Slowand steady we are all intrigued!!LBM 17th April 2007:j

DEBT FREE AND STILL TRYING HARD0 -
Hi guys
Thanks to the hard workers for the new thread. I'm just on to sort out my siggy ready for 1st April when my month starts (I go by calender months)
I'm staying at £250 even though I keep coming under (just lol) as I hope to build up a stash for bulk buying. I'm also investigating the best way to keep a price book, without having an unmanagable number of pages to scan. I can see a situation where a shop could take much longer, and as I work fulltime I don't have that time. Anyone who keeps a price book with any ideas?

Please put me down for £150. No reason it's higher than this month other than I may stay within it this time!0

Just did my first grocery spend of April a whopping £7.36 on fruit, herbs, onion, bacon and yoghurt's, no whoopsies in the slightest, what a gip.
Anyways its for the kids pack lunch so its all good, and will do the rest of the week for when they break up from school.
The masala worked out well going to make weezls onion tart tomorrow, so we'll see how the family reacts to the frugalised shopping trip.

Please could I be put down for £100 this month please.
March was the first time I had done the GC and I was amazed by how resourceful I could be with store-cupboard ingredients in order to stick to my budget. Normally I would just be lazy when I was running out of 'quick' food and just go to the local Mr Ts express and buy more groceries but having a budget to stick to, lots of support and recipe ideas is a massive help. It's also definitely a motivational tool having so many like-minded people on this thread to get inspiration from. Thanks to you all
P.S. special thanks to Pink-winged, Mrs Mcawber and rosieben for their very useful opening posts :T0
